My market strategy has always been sell lower just to give goods moving. In-game costs are generally low in this game economy so I can sell things at a 1000 gold and still profit, so people opening a low offer should always be the case, because they could find someone willing to take that price and also that would start the process of haggling.

I sell things for cheap and people buy it. If people turn around and sell it for more, I don't care. I have too many items to get rid of anyway, so any give amount of money earned is good enough for me. Of course I won't sell for extremely cheap.
If you're selling something for X amount a stack, and I start buying (via Party Ad) all of X on the server for 25% of the price you're selling it for (and have an alt spamming an ad, claiming to sell it for half the price you do); this will effectively freeze your sales and put you out of business.

~ Now carry on with your open denial.

..xD not everyone cares all that much on sells and so on, Hell.. about a year or so when my only income was making musical scrolls, a lot of people would sell those for 10-35k. I used to sell mine for 1k-5k to one get rid of something i can just remake, and two.. because i needed quick money. :x Then again i also freely give out things with out accepting money, mostly because i know ill always be able to make the money back. xD Also no ones sells will ever freeze, If you sell something lower to someones buying price, your still getting that money in the long run- it doesnt effect the ones selling it low price as much as it does effect the ones asking for twice the amount.
: O Kinda like the piano- You can see someone in one shop selling it for, say 6m. Then one right next to that said shop selling the same piano for 3m. No one will go for that 6m unless that 6m is the only one left.

Usually if I don't have the gold for something, I throw some items in to make up for it.
Recently though, some person was having a quitting sale. Lots of items priced at least 1m.
Except for like three things I wanted. Apparently 6.5m isn't enough for two outfits and a wig, again, out of a list of tons of items worth much more YET PRICED AT LEAST 1M.

Some people are just morons. :/

People do that alot.. its annoying how ever its because they just want the money- Thats what it comes down to.. I tried trading a pair of wings for a 800k outfit, was told no for that very reason.

Edit: Also just came to mind.. xD when you try to just trade someone for the same item, the only difference is the colors- they will tell you "No, Just buy mine." ... That is the best one ive ever had happen to me.

I'd shun lowballers but I know for a fact I've been guilty of this in the past.

I price things according to market value but I always put a 'note me offer' because I am willing to take offers and even trades. I am generally fair also. Like if I am selling someone for say 5 mil and the person asks if I could sell if like 3.8 mil. If I know the person or if I know the person is in good standing or they are being kind, I am more inclined to say yes to someone who is being kind. If they are being rude I will shut the offers down.

Chances are they're just going to turn around and resell it if they get anything for dirt cheap. After all if they have that kind of money to throw around on cosmetic items they probably have money to invest in cheap stuff to resell.

It all depends on if the seller is willing to sell it for their price. Once it's out of the seller's hands, there's nothing that they can do about it on however the buyer wants to do with it.
