Cannot Remove Pet Notes

What is the issue?

It's not possible to backspace or remove existing text in the "Set Note" section of the Pet window.

When trying to modify the text, the caret, or text cursor, is behind of the existing text and treats the existing text as if it isn't there.



What steps must be taken for us to recreate the issue?
  • Type text into the Set Note section of any pet
  • Click Save
  • Select a different pet
  • Select the pet you typed the note into
  • Attempt to remove the text



What do you expect to happen instead?
It should be possible to remove or modify existing text within the "Set Note" section of the Pet window. The caret, or text cursor, should appear in front of the existing text so it's possible to modify it.

    A Known issue. The only known work around for this is to use Ctrl+A to select all of the text at which point you can type something new.

    @Forum Admins ... It would be a good idea to create a sticky with a list of all the known issues like there was in the old forum.

    P is usually used for Print (obviously, not in Mabi)
    V was chosen cause it's close to C on the keyboard, making it easier to use copy/paste
    Also, Paste starts with a P in english, but if you take another language, it won't always be like that. (And it might even starts with V :p)

    Notes on the pets need to be fixed there broken and have been for over a year. You can still put notes on new pets but when you want to change whats in them you can not change what it says already

    The same issue as this happens with naming kiosks and setting the prices. You have to Ctrl+A to change anything.
    It might also with personal shops but not sure cuz I don't use them.

    But yeah it's been over a year since these have broken... and there have been threads in the past about it.
    Also seconding a need for a "known issues" list again... :\
    I still have the old one screenshotted somewhere lol. The new forwarded bugs section is good though. Really hope some old bugs can finally be fixed.
