rank my skills or learn them and then rank??

So i feel like mage skills take alot more ap than i thought . and im almost at lvl 1000 but i want to know is it better to learn all mage skills first than rank them ? Or learn and rank to 1 but than id need to wait a week.. Thank you

    If you're still under 1k just rank them individually if you are short on ap to rank 1
    By exploiting the free skill resets that duncan gives you can get every skill to rank 1 and also get extra ap for every talent you rank up
    So in other words you can get like 3k+ ap just from ranking up all your talents.
