Force New Players to Start on a Certain Channel

While we shouldn't keep a player from channel changing to another one, we could really use a channel like 7 being the "new player starts here" channel.

The reasoning behind this is that new players are pretty plentiful, but being split seven ways makes them less likely to turn to other new players for help and instead have to rely on "high level" players who will just one shot their content for them. The experience would be far more gratifying for them if they could easily access other players their level to do early gens and gain some confidence and practice. They can't learn the game when a Chain Blade is one-shotting every room. It's ultimately the players choice on who accompanies them, but since this game doesn't have a "level down" option to play with beginners, they should at least have the best chance of enjoying their early gens with other new players if they wish to.

Another perk is making it easily accessible for guild leaders and helpers to help out the new players without being forced into only helping one channel. A lot of new players go through the cracks because there are so many of them and so few veterans wanting to help. This dynamic shifts tremendously if the new players are funneled into one channel when they first begin, so that a person can help them or even 'explain' channels to them for future reference.

A notice when new players log in that Channel Seven is the "New" channel, and/or placing all new players on the same channel on startup for their first few days with the option to just simply CC out of it once they're confident, would help new players grow and experience this game to the fullest degree.

It's an interesting idea but part of the reason I kept playing Mabi as a new player (5 something years ago) was because of kind high level players and seeing what my character could become if I just worked hard. If you make them start and stay on one channel they will just see people around the same level and only that which might get boring after a while and they'll quit.

Also, there is a finishing rule where the higher player can knock out a strong fomor before it hurts the new player and yet let's the new player take out the fomor to get the experience/loot. I think people really need to use this option more because it really helps the new players and makes the game not so frightening.

Well having players placed into a "beginner" channel of sorts would help develop friendships and team building. Since they'll be around the same level, it would mean that lower tier dungeons would be more accessible to beginners who could challenge them with similarly powered individuals. Though it would probably make some of the higher tier people stalk the beginner areas like some kind of predator looking for people to teach and stuff.

We could maybe solve that by having only ttlv 1k and under be able to enter?

But C7 is the shop channel on tarlach, it wouldn't work for all servers. ( i know every other server has c1 as their shop channel)
