Ranged Weaponry options for Giants

I was thinking about Ranged combat options for my Giant, and the only thing I really have is my old Bone Atlatl, and while it does its job, it really does show its age, and now that Atlatls can benefit from both erg and Ego, that's an issue. Perhaps it's not as necessary as the last Giant Update we had, but it would be nice to expand on the Giants' Ranged combat. There's two primary ways that come to mind for overhauls:

1) Open the Archery Talent to Giants, through the use of Giant-exclusive Heavy Crossbows (crafted through Hillwen Engineering). Perhaps not all the Ranged Attack skills that Humans and Elves get would be available, but who would say no to a Magnum Shot at least? Of course, Throwing Attack would have to be weakened slightly to keep it balanced, but would give Giants a double option of the slower-but-stronger Crossbow or the faster-but-weaker Atlatl.

2) Keep it traditional - leave the strings for the Bards, am I right? If the Javelins aren't doing enough damage, then they just need to start being thrown even harder, through a buff of the Throwing Attack skill (preferably with a reduction of the skill's cooldown).

No matter which path DevCAT/Nexon would choose, the bottom line is that there needs to be new types of Atlatls at the very least, even if they don't change the skills at all. Especially now that Atlatl Egos exist. Demonic, Celtic, Revenant, Perseus, Candy - take your pick. And if it can have a Piercing Level, that would be fantastic.

Side note: if Archery gets opened to Giants, then Elves should get Lances. Fair's fair.

Sadly that is the point about Giants, its the very essence of a warrior giant to break through to bypass being peaked to reach new heights.

Id say that having more things to close in the gaps and having a throwing attack is more of a "screw you" sort of act because "I am coming for you one way or another coward!" Throwing attack is fitting since your using your arm as a trigger, the javelin as the bullet, with how strong you are the harder it hits.

A crossbow does not suit them, its a crutch to them.

Ninja is fine, gunner is a bit ehh but any race can use it.

Why not expand the Throwing Attack by having it be useable with 1H melee weapons (particularly axes and hammers)?

Giants shouldn't get archery. They're already so favored by the developers. They're not supposed to have range outside of poor magic but they have Ninja, Dual Gun, their own race exclusive ranged option (Atlatls), Chain Blades, and Alchemy. Ninja should've been Dex+Will and Dual Guns should've been Dex+Int but they're STR which is just great for Giants. Elves and GIants are the unbalanced races, so you shouldn't pick Giant expecting to play the Dex based Archery.

When you say the dev favored giants, I giggled because someone else had said they favored humans.

This is becoming pretty funny. New endgame at the moment seem to favor more for humans as far as I can see.

I had Magnum shot for about half an hour when that bug was active after the war ended. It was nice going back and forth between throwing attack and magnum shot, using one skill while the other cooled down. I wouldn't mind being able to have more of the range skills for atlatl, let elves keep final shot and mirage and let human keep arrow revolver. As compensation maybe give elves a light lance to wield, say one that looks like a jousting lance. Make them get it by jousting, give it worse stats than the basic lance.

Some people look at reforges and FH when referring to Humans. I'm talking about how the game is literally melee focused and Giants get so many combat buffs + exclusive weapon buffs.

Every hybrid weapon but Chainblades is a STR + something hybrid. Giants get 30% combo mastery damage (Elves 10%, Humans 20%) + the ability to wear heavy armor with Fighter skills. They can use Lance with a shield and when lance first came out, humans had this weird delay using lances normal attacks because of the "weight". They get their own race exclusive ranged weapon. They basically get two "Final" Skills. (Windguard and Final Strike) They, alone, can use their Transformation special move outside of Trans. They get multiple value/cooldown buffs to Smash, Counter, Windmill, Defense, Combat Mastery, and Charge. They get the only large shields in the game. They can 2h with a shield.

It's not like Elves get amazing race exclusive things like this. They aren't particularly better at Life skills. The only race exclusive buff Elves get to their skills is Ice Spear mana cost and Magnum CD and that's it. Not to mention all the nerfs in Melee, Fighter, and higher AP costs for skills. Not to be mean but I could care less about endgame when it's only 1% of the player experience while Giants coast through 99% of it.
