No monster drop

Monsters outside of dungeons are not dropping anything when I kill them. When I kill them with summoned pets, items do drop.
Is there a way to fix this?

    DId you kill the monsters with bare hands? If so, that may be the problem. You have to equip weapons to get a drop.

    i was using weapons. Its just one certain character. My other characters on the same account work fine :\
