What's the best upgrade sequence for a savage fire wand for chain casting?

For a mage/alchemist/bard (elf), what upgrades should I do for my weapons? Which weapons should I try to get?

Thanks everyone!

    Savage Fire Wand Upgrades
You will need to choose between gaining Magic Attack or Critical. Remember that Magic Critical only boosts the spell of the same element. IE: fire wands boosts firebolt's critical hit. This is important for Rabbie/Adv if you want to collect Succubus items for the Housing Decoration (probably not impressive today since we got homesteads).

On a more serious note, there isn't many weapon variations for mages/alchemists/bards and are very self explainatory I won't be talking about the incredibly high tiered hard-to-get weapons like the Divine Weapons, Celtic/Royal Weapons or dragon-raid-drop-crafted-equipment.

Most mages would use fire wands with chain cast since it is consistent large damage. The savage wands are great since their chaincast upgrades does not increase mana cost so you can increase magic attack or critical. Savage wands also gives a boost to damage to Blaze so if you have okay latency, Blaze can be devastatingly powerful. If you use more than one intermediate magic, the Hermit staff is great since it can use all three and not need a specific wand or charge up a regular staff. A versitile mage would have a chaincast fire wand and a hermit staff.

Alchemists use cylinders. The basic Cylinders are the most balanced since it gives no bonus or debuff to any elements. The debuff can negatively affect some skills like wind blast would not knock back targets. Unless you solely use water cannon or flame burst, the water/tidal wave/abyss or fire/volcanic/hellfire cylinder would fit your style. A guard cylinder would buff your alchemy attacks if you also use a cylinder in your main slot. You will need to rank up Guard Cylinder Mastery to lessen the penalty of only using a Guard Cylinder and no Cylinder in your main hand. But you can use a guard cylinder and (say) a wand and you will have access to many skills. Lets say you have a cc firewand and a guard cylinder, while you are firebolting things into oblivion, you can fall back use the guard cylinder to use other skills like Shock, Frozen Blast, Barrier spikes, etc. without changing weapons.

Bards use any kind of instrument. A wind instrument is needed for low ranking Enthralling Performance before you can use other instruments. The "best" instrument is the Gloomy Sunday which can only be used by Master Bards. It provides the largest boost to your music buff/debuffs.
