Spectator Pass

I was thinking it'd be nice to be able to get something like a Spectator Pass. What it does is allow you to enter Dungeons, Shadow Missions, friends RP quests, friends single player quests etc. within a party even though you are not yet qualified or permitted to do so. Under the pass you cannot interact with the environment and it can't interact with you; you are a spectator. This would allow weaker players to spend more time together with their stronger friends without holding them back and would give weaker players the chance to learn to play better from the experience.

So more of a go in for the purpose of chatting but not fighting?
    Sounds difficult to implement.

Instead of using an item to determine who is a spectator, which can result in accidental spectating if you happen to have a spectator pass on you, I think it would be simpler to add it into the party window. The party leader will be able to select a party member's name from the list and "make spectator."

Before entering a mission or dungeon, the party leader will get a reminder message
You have (2) spectators in your party:
    Name1
    Name2

Spectators will not be able to interact with the rest of the party, receive rewards, count toward dungeon party limits, or (blah blah rest of explanation). Are you sure you want to enter with spectators?
       [YES] [CANCEL]

What about a special equip, instead of a pass, similar to the Anti-Fomor Robe from G3?

Chatting and watching yes. It will be a little bit of work but not too bad, most of the necessary code is already there.

Not bad, but what would Nexon THEN do? Make it a gacha only thing that's what. :S

Why not expand a party to include x number of spectators whose characters won't be in the dungeon, etc. but they can view what's happening and speak to others? No need for a special pass.

Wouldn't not standing on the platform handle that?

That's another option, and it requires little to no work from party leader. Anyone could jump into an active dungeon/mission to spectate by clicking on the entry platform and choosing from a list of active parties to spectate. The default for all created parties could be to allow 4 (?) spectators, and the party leader, if they want, can change this at any time to less, more, or zero spectators, or even a 'request' mode where the spectator must request to join.

Neat... I can imagine a robe with set effect that allows spectating and exploring the shadow realm.

Hmm, I think request to spectate is a must to prevent bad fellows from disrupting people play.
