Does appearance scrolls force their own color
when they're applied? for example the saint guardian sword appearance scroll, I noticed It's pink, do the dyes applied to the sword not apply to the appearance scroll weapon's color?
Comments
And here's some tips on the matter:
The appearance scroll always forces its own color when you first use it, angelic monkey staff is always silver, royal crystal wing bow is always gray, etc. etc. so don't dye your weapon before using it, the appearance scroll will just overwrite those dyes. Use the appearance scroll first
In the dye menu they still show up as the old item, not their disguised form. When you actually select it to dye it though: it does show up as the disguised weapon and you can preview the dyes and everything normally
They use the disguise's color palette. So if you had saay: a gladius appearance scroll, you'd need Metal Dyes because gladius uses metal colors
If the guardian's sword is a dyeable weapon: sure, the appearance scroll weapon will be dyable too
So basically, if you have spent many dollars on your weapon's coloring, better not use an appearance scroll, or get ready to spend more, since you are already an offical fashionogi by using an appearance scroll.
Edit: And also, when there are non-dyeable parts, by 100% chance it is just a fixed color part that belong to weapon's original design. If its a fixed pink, its forever pink.
