you are correct it is an insane number of wings that make that wing gacha for 400 coins only give you a 1/36 chance to get the wings you want...
Me looking at the page of gacha wings and coin gimmick:
These Fire Emblem memes give me life.
I see that you too are a man of culture
And if you spent enough to get 400 coins to turn in for a box of wings... you have 1/36 chance of getting the wings you want which is bad too... they should've made it so you can pick what wings you want from opening the box when you have enough coins saved up...
This is what i got for 30 dollar i put in http://prntscr.com/fn1qi6
Here's the thing Nkeona... I seriously think Nexon tried this time, and personally I liked the gacha and got what I wanted in less than 2 stacks and am satisfied. But people look at Loot Crates in games like Overwatch and they see people getting items of relatively equal worth opening each box, and then they come here....
What I've noticed lately is that our gachas, on top of our usual already-low drop rates for featured items, have been following a rather annoying pattern. Some of the featured items will be frequent drops and easy to get, whereas others will be almost near-impossible to get, to the point that people are convinced that they can't get them. And it's almost always the female items or new wings that are in the second category.
Basically, the gachas are a slot machine, and the featured item on the female side usually ends up being a jackpot-on-top-of-a-jackpot prize. Now I don't know how things are in Korea... but people here are getting frustrated and less likely to spend. And if that's NOT the case, it's at least giving that impression when people don't see the featured item on the backs of every AFK-seller in Belvast. A general rule of thumb for gambling in a casino is if you don't see people winning at the slot machines, nobody will play the slot machines. And that is your issue right now. People don't see each other winning and don't want to play.
The gacha is very obviously intended to attract the so-called "whale" and keep them happy with comps for their slot-machine gambling, but even the whales are getting frustrated. The odds alone (compounded with the number of tokens to get a "good" item and the amount of money you have to spend to get those tokens) are going to just piss people off. This frustration is further compounded by all the bot-money inflation recently in our server... legit players can't keep up with those prices. I personally think it's an improvement, but as you may have noticed the already gacha-tired have revolted. I think either the prices need some adjusting, or the tokens need to be ***TRADEABLE!!!!!!!***
On top of this... While I personally like getting training potions, getting a pile of dyes when many of our inventories are still absolutely FLOODED with dyes is very ouch-worthy. I think this would have been an excellent chance to introduce the hair dye colors that Korea has. (Yeah, I know, I won't shut up about 'em, because I want to buy them!) Or even just entirely drop the Jackpot vs. Trash mentality entirely. Surely you can eek more cash out of a few thousand players than a few dozen "whales"?
lol his face thats how people face look when they get nothing
I agree with your entire post, but I think this needs extra emphasis. PLEASE give us a break from dyes for a bit. If we're going to include items like these, at least include the 'rare' dyes and/or Direct Dye Ampoules so one can choose the colour one wants.
Hmm I think maybe it would be good if the coins were tradeable among players so that the one stack of 11 can still get players a little bit of gold from the people aiming for the huge prizes.
tbh id like a gacha recycle system. To be able to change anything you get from the gacha into coins then spend the coins to get something you'd actually like. This way you won't end up with ridiculous amount of trash in your inventory and probably get something worth while with all the money you spent.
