A revamp is missing at the Homestead Crops. Currently they give us kons but little more than that. There is already an idea of a farm that can be accessed through VIP service, which is a good way to get gold. In its version for Homestead, it would not be as simple as just planting and selling directly.

To begin with, you would have to get the seeds. Then, each General Store has some fruits and vegetables, so what could be marketed would be the products made with the crops. (Prepared foods, potions, creams, more complex ingredients, etc.) You will enter the complete commerce process that I detailed in another post.

Would be interesting if Homestead crop and other 'production' methods can be rerouted to the ducat system, like producing goods which are 'sold' to each city as 'special products' for the commerce system, by putting them into your homestead's newly constructed 'produce bin' or something.

Like harvest moon's system, except the town actually uses your crops that you grow and sell to them.

One city can take freshly grown crops, other requires more 'inventive' means of products, like craftables from handicraft and such.
Perhaps you can implement a 'workbench' where non-crop related goods can be created here, using resources you gathered.

For instance sewing together that succubus bikini to sell to Dunbarton's commerce system... Lol... But lets make that a unique item and instead be a 'incubus swim trunks' or something?

Basically, player produces goods, sells to a city, other players commerce and ships those goods, and the creator of the goods gets a small percentage of the earnings whenever a player buys those goods from the main town it was sold to, in addition to the base 'stocking' price of like 100 Ducat for instance.

Also, I just had a pretty crazy idea...

Making all NPC shops having limited inventory for some common items, and instead having players produce goods to sell to NPC via a 'trades' system, for them to keep them in stock.

For instance Strawberries will only be stocked if players spends time growing them in homestead, in cities and towns. Eggs can be sold by grocers if players harvest them from homestead hens. You won't literally have supplies of many items disappearing from store shelves, but mainly items that people buy a lot that's cheap but not so easy to replenish.

I find it funny that scrolls and passes have expiration dates, but food does not.

That's a pretty good summary of the idea ... Thank you very much! Needless to say, a lot of VIP Items could be introduced if this system were implemented

You could have a minimum stock of items in the NPC stores, to protect the buyers from the lack of supply, in case there was one ... The more the Milletians produce, the more stock there would be ... it would be necessary to go to the NPC stores because in the Homestead there would be no place to produce everything, at least in the first levels ... I like the idea ...

How about each HS linked with each city? Instead of just placing it on a map, you could choose between cities and connect one to your HS. Then each city can let you harvest specific crops~ we could also add that in city trade post you could buy crops and other goods. Also maybe you could have a workshop linked with trade post inside homestead houses (that are currently only props)? That would be great!
And this could also be a nice occasion to change surrounding us desert to something more similiar to a city you are connected with.

I wouldn't mind supporting Vales or Filia in the idea of introducing new crops to their shops and such! Uladh has so much going for them climate-wise, give the Elves and Giants something. =D
