  • Abyss dungeon expansion.

The concept of abyss dungeons is pretty unique to this day, and holds better than the endless hallways of the older dungeons. With only Peaca and Coill having abyss dungeons (with rewards that have honestly grown obsolete), here's a few suggestions to make them better:

    - Instead of adding equipment that is barely usable, add appearance scroll versions of those weapons in the chest rewards, plus themed equipment and cloth patterns.

    Additionally, expand on the number of abyss dungeons there are;
Each of those dungeons would be themed accordingly and give out appearance scrolls and fashion as their main gimmick. For instance:

Rundal: Mermaid-themed dungeon, Blue merrow as boss.
    - Mermaid-themed weapon appearances, and weapons themselves.
Alby: Web / Spider themed dungeon, either a buffed up arachne or a drider (spider-taur) boss.
    - Web / witch themed things
Ciar: Stone-based dungeon, Golems and living stone (similar to the karu /maiz mobs, or par ruins, but with stone instead of ice)
    - stone-based appearance scrolls and equipment
Rabbie: Succubi bosses without their hat, that isn't the queen?
Fiodh: nature-based dungeon, similar to mag mell
    - nature-themed weapon appearance scrolls and equipment
Barri: Mineral-themed dungeon; a boss that can be mined after its death? a big hunk of sentient minerals?
    - gem-based appearance scrolls and equipment

*All of these bosses would also have unique mechanics to them; Merrow could have a Dive attack, for example.

The passes would be easier to get as well; either handicrafted with an item relative to the dungeon theme (cobweb, any ore, tree branch, etc...) or bought straight-up from the poulnabrone researcher. They would all also drop scrolls to convert abyss weapons to appearance scrolls, similar to the fsn conversion items. That way items like sephirot xbow and duke rapier can also benefit from this update.

its short length would mean those items wouldn't necessarily be rare either as drops; they'd be more f2p equipment any player can get just for fashion purposes.

different difficulties could also be implemented to separate the pool of items (patterns/weapons/accessories/app scrolls for instance) that would be unique to the abyss version of the dungeon. The bosses could also differ; Rundal having a mini-whale as boss at its easier levels for instance.

it would give more incentive to run those dungeons in the long run.

  • Official Dye Suggestion Thread

recurring Natural dyes. just remove those 990 nx dye/color/metal dye amps for good. let us make our own.

But also, skintone colors that we got ingame, as dyes.
(could make skintone dye sets as a permanent addition to nx shop too, say, x5 dyes of a selectable skintone for some nx.)

  • Rework Base Damage on Skills (Magic/Alchemy/etc)

If something requires reforges and specific equipment, it's bad design on purpose. This is a sandbox, not a minmax generic MMO game.

The game as a whole has glaring balance issues already. Almost everything needs to be reworked at once rather than patched up and calling it a day, but it's unlikely that devkitty makes the changes needed due to the workload that likely needs.

That is why we have monsters like the Geata and the Succubus Queen, who have passive defenses, and in the case of the Geata, against specific skills.

They did rebalance defense and protection a few years back. So honestly, what's a little more power creep on top of the rest of the absurd level endgame players go to? It only makes the skillsets more viable for the midgame players, and smoothens the curve needed to become stronger.

Game progression is already pretty steep in the midgame, it's honestly not a loss.

  • A few homestead QOL improvements

Have a 'quick' list of recommendations:

    - Let us dye more things with paint. Especially if it comes from an event. All parts of it.
    - While we are at it, add in more grass types. Ferns, tall grass, etc.
    - Mostly for Physis homestead, an ability to add snow on top of a prop already set down for the non-snowy props?
    - Lights. Let us change their color too, and their glow color at night.
    - Add in more props to be built either with pon or crafted in. The harmonious basic things were kind of a slap in the face. Why not just change the existing buildable props to take less space on the homestead? Upgrade the respective things into their one-square variant with some materials/Kon/build stones or something?
    - Some now older HS props like the stone benches, vales torch, and overflowing fountains could be made pon purchases, for a better availability.

    - Allow for changing the color of the basic homestead.
Likely in a patch area, not the whole homestead. It's not really efficient to see new props with a grass color and texture being completely different than players's homestead. Changing the basic grass color would also allow for more interesting layouts. Sandy parts? Dark grass? Trodden dirt? Tiles? Whatever the fairy light grass is? (Just grab some Animal Crossing inspiration here, honestly. Homesteads already work in square patches, so you could just let other props be put on top of it)

This could also be something players could actually -spend- Kons (you know, that forgotten value of your homestead that you forget about once you reach level 15) towards that aim. Speaking of...

-Kons as a whole only serve to go towards the homestead level. Being able to actually use it to upgrade things could be a nice addition that still requires players to work for.

Some things beyond mansions and pet houses could also use an 'upgrade' function. Like the basic ponds, to have larger ones. Upgraded fields could hold more than 1 homestead seed at the time. A further step of an upgraded field could actually yield some food, with more homestead seeds to go from? It is kind of niche, but being able to grow things and keep them would actually be better than just all of it going towards kons...

Also... let us use those other rooms for our mansions?

  • Pet Paradise Homestead Design Contest

I so do love homestead stuff. When do we get dyable lights tho, those yellow ones are still a bit annoying
Choosing the five perfect shots took a bit hah
