  • [UPDATED] Holiday Hide & Seek

I can't seem to get anything other than third place and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm doing everything everyone else is doing but they're getting more points faster. I know the furniture has some RNG to it but this is ridiculous, I've lost every single one by a landslide. The presents reveal a hidden person in three hits every time. So is everyone going after furniture and relying on RNG?

If you smack the christmas trees that spawn you'll instantly "find" two characters under it garnering double the points. There are a limited amount of these in each stage so grabbing them all may not be sportsman-like but it'll get you points faster. The wire reindeer are a 50/50 of one-hit finds and traps. The boxes typically take 3 hits. The stockings and bags of presents take a variable amount.

Overall this event has become decreasingly fun for me as the rng loot box just spits out gems and crummy potions. I'm after bonus points and titles now basically

I'm curious as to why pretty much all of the new chain blades are locked behind event rng.... not even gacha rng which is their fave kind

  • Mabinogi website broken ?

Isn’t this pretty common during the maintenances? I’m sure there’s a lot of explaining of the new gacha mechanics that needs to be done ;3

  • Does Playing Mabinogi makes someone a Weeaboo?

People who don't understand the intricacies of the term or true definition tend to be the ones throwing it around insultingly. I've had some interesting experiences with people using "weeb/weeaboo" to fit their own ideas and prejudices. I don't look much like a stereotypical "weeb" but I like to wear anime/comic book shirts in public on my days off and this tends to draw conversation from folks out and about. Often these folks have then gone on to say how much they hate weebs/weeaboos for "ruining" anime/characters/videogames/cosplay/etc for the "rest of us". Tbh I'd never mind being called a weeb, and find it funny that based on appearances people assume I'm far from one.

Long story short, people like to throw insults around when it's convenient and fits their perceived stereotype. I'd say ditch those guys and keep playing if Mabi brings you joy.

There's nothing confusing about this... Lol. I tried to explain one guy 3 TIMES and he still didn't understand. I got too frustrated and gave up.

Do you ever post anything that isn't negative? The way the box works is complicated for no reason at all, I've had to explain it to several people as well.

Stop targeting me okay? I'm not talking with you. Have a good day.

You're implying anyone who didn't understand it is dumb or at the least not as smart as you. I didn't get it at first either, so you kinda are talking to me or addressing me in some form.

I don't think that is what Greta is saying, since the important part was "explaining several times", inferring that Greta was explaining it to one person three times. There is a stark difference in the wording of a bad statement whose author is not there to clarify, then the various ways one can communicate what to do in real time. It is also natural to express frustration when effort is repeated to no avail.

There is no implication of stupidity that is applicable to those such as yourself from what I can tell.

I delight in Greta's cynicism and sharp tongue (it's often refreshing) but I can see where it comes off as rude to some on occasion (wording and context are issues here). No one was named as being the person who took "3 TIMES" to get it, and yes it can be a bother to re-explain, but I'd argue this concept can be confusing to some folks, or at least we shouldn't dismiss people for not grasping it. I had to replay the announcement stream in order to figure it out myself. The "targeting" and "implying" are taking it a bit far.
