Sylek

The guild issue finally got fixed, but Nexon didn't even bother to post into the thread for it to announce it to the players who came here with the issue. They didn't put anything on the main site either. I'm keeping this situation as an example of poor customer service. Anyway, I'll still be around the forums even though I came here because of the above issue.

I have returned to Erinn once again. Now to see what drives me away this time.
About Me

That's not what I had in mind. Sure you can replace a single track, but what we are referring to is being able to change songs so others can hear them.

While it wouldn't work for you streaming it, it would work for @Wolfandwolf. Maybe try figuring out how to compose it and put it on a score scroll.

There should still be some sort of distinct visual difference between the background and the homestead area, as we currently have with the wasteland, but that wasteland doesn't even make sense. Where in Uladh can you find a desert like that?

  • Men's wear vs Women's wear

To add colors: I mainly go for white, black, and various grays. Mostly the latter as those are cheapest. Occasionally I'll keep some color.

Favorite outfit: I got the Red Eye Strap Set (F) and am enjoying that now that I've dyed it to mostly how I want it. Deciding whether to go black via dye amps, or to add a splash of color. (For the last part I have to dye, not the full outfit)

  • Men's wear vs Women's wear

    Preference?
Depends what I feel like wearing and what looks good when I'm in the dressing room.
What do I have more of?
I hoard a bit of everything, but since I'm playing female... I have more of that.
I don't have a lot of money, in game or irl, to spend on fashionogi, so I can be a bit lackluster.
    Favorites?
Loose Knit-wear and Stockings and Bunny Ribbon Suit are up there, but again, it depends on how I feel.

there are two taming skills in the game, normal taming done with a taming cane and bait and allows you to have one monster serving you at once. next is the dark knight taming skill which only dark knight players can use. dark knights can tame up to 4 or 5 monsters at one time by using a special fomor scroll in your inventory. you can buy these special scrolls from Stewart at Dunbarton magic school after you have become a dark knight but they do not appear in his shop unless you already are a dark knight. if you want to get started on normal taming go to Cor Village in the Iria continent and go to Tupai to get a taming cane and bait. you can get to Cor Village by using your moonlight traveler book if you are under lvl 1k or you can ask someone to take you there. to get dark knight taming simply become a dark knight. after you beat G1, G2, G3 story quests humans will get a additional quest line that leads to becoming a dark knight. if you are a elf or giant you can't become a dark knight as they will not get the additional quest after G1 through G3 is beaten.

transformation mastery skill is also learned in Cor Village so talk to Shamala to learn it. you will have to hunt monsters all over the game to lvl the skill but it is very fun turning into animals and monsters plus lvling the skill itself gives nice hp and stamina boosts. to find monsters ask friends or just search their name at http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com as the transformation journal in game does not always provide as accurate locations and areas to find the monster your looking for.

After becoming dark knight, I can still use other skills too, right??
also, is taming animals is only temporary? T^T

Dark Knight is one of two special (temporary) transformations available to human characters. In G2, humans become Paladins, elves become falcon something, and giants are beasts? I don't have an elf or giant transformation. After G3, humans get a quest chain that allows them to become a Dark Knight. If you do this quest chain and choose to become a Dark Knight, you cannot return to being a Paladin. All of these have a limited duration and can only be used once(?) per in game day. Each of them also have a unique skill, such as Dark Knight taming, except for the Paladin.

As for the transformation mastery, Shamala also sells Dream Catchers, which you will need to transform into the various creatures and also boosts the capture rate. These transformations last until you change to another form or end.

I would change the name of this thread as it's more about two skills, rather than pets. Unfortunately, taming doesn't give you more pets.

wait, so what does paladin do?? (i guess dark knight is better???) Dream carchers? sounds interesting.... I want to know what falcons does too xP
(Elves? I heard they are fast walkers but idk much about em....)

As @Yokkaichi mentioned, the Paladin is the only one without an active skill. However, each of the different transformations get different stat boosts while using the transformation. There's only really a choice for humans, though, since they have the choice of becoming a Dark Knight. One definite advantage to Dark Knights is that their transformation can last a lot longer. After a set amount of time, they start to lose hp and will lose the transformation when they hit 0 (does not mean they die). The advantage to this is that they can still be healed, prolonging the transformation.
Obtaining the free elf or giant character card will only work if you are human. I don't think you ever stated what race you actually are.

  • elf player apologitics

pvp isn't really what i was focused on when i posted it.

when i see a human/giant only helmet with archery reforges. i can only assume its gear toward a biased player.
the other two examples were just thrown in there that i had issues with before.

its just the helmet for humans only with archery reforges i've seen a number of times.

As @Eralea said, reforges are pure luck based. I don't spend money on reforges because of that (and the fact that I'm broke). Whenever I get the base reforge from the general stores, I'll see all kinds of racial transformation boosts pop up. Even though I'm not that race and can never use that transformation. To say an Archery reforge on an human/giant only item is biased would be true if we could control reforges. With your current logic, any Knight/Lance reforges on human/elf only items is biased as well.

As a human, I supported elves for the char card, I supported giants for the char card. I currently support giants because I don't care enough to switch over again as I have no reason to bother. If I have a reason to switch back to elves, then I will.
I do have a very short list of criteria for determining if I don't like you:
    1. Are you an ass?
    2. Do you criticize others over fashion preferences? (see 1)
    3. Do you shun people because they don't have a certain skill rank or item? (see 1)
    4. Do you shun people because they mastered a certain talent? (see 1)
    5. I think you get the idea.
If any of your actions puts you on that list, then I'm not going to like you. Otherwise, we might be able to get along.
