What's there to know?
  • Bots are swarming Blaanid now openly

I'll probably only post on these forums after this my recent thread just recently closed off due to inactivity (by barely one month of the last post, but that's aside the point) just for this once since I used to aid my server in dealing with bots, mainly the gold to cash ones that spam advertise as a hobby at one point for a year+, I don't recall how long it's been, of wiping out bots and dimming the activity they have going on which does work if I kept it consistent when I could.

Note: I only recommend this if you are able to verify it is a bot of the sort that goes under the violation of ToS, which going off Froglord's descriptions from posts I seen relating to bots before, it's a probable possibility from my own comparable experience when I did my hobby.

Aside from the blatant fact of needing to filing a Customer Support ticket towards the specific (or in what I used to do, individual catalog and remember each, crazy as it seems, each of their specific random spam typed username if possible, or just take a snip of it/photo to ensure visual confirmation of the frequent activity) bot/bots, I'd recommend in my personal standard of what I did, log all the snips/photo evidence of each occurring time you find that specific individual bot once, place all the photos (if you want to take the mantle of personal going on a crusade against bots like I did during my time) in a folder, and just always double check whenever the appearance of the bot in whatever location for their IGN to verify if it's been cataloged or not so you can reissue a reminder to the GMs in that department to get rid of it within a few days or less, factoring in their own work schedule of course (events, up-coming big patches/updates, that sort) since they have higher priorities sometimes then handling a neglected issue they had to deal with for years now. I also recommend probably if you plan on going the extra yards like I did, and make it a weekly submission then a daily if you want to take up the mantle like that so the GMs can wipe out the bunch in the chance they get to reviewing the ticket after submission.

Also just as a fun note cause it happens sometimes in the past, and what I also did absurdly too many times over the time I did my part-time hobby. You can always use judging this particular case of possible bots is in Dunbarton, you can train or just get some practice using Enthrall Performance to decimate the bots literally in-game added on to submitting a ticket to getting them wiped off the game, at least for that one specific bot. I recommend red spiders given it's unlikely the bots are rarely strong enough to handle a red spiders attack, and it's more convenient versus luring a bear that's lurking way more out in the distance. I would recommend the tactic to paired with Crisis Escape suitably to have a steady lure method after using up Enthrall's duration so you can load it up again without the instant aggro from having the skill stop. Fun side story, I did this to a certain up-coming gold bot website that was trying to station up in Dunbarton mostly on a certain day, the actual person monitoring the bot as it have it's macro text spam executing was getting irritated actually enough to respond to me as I murdered the bot multiple times. They even called what they were doing funny enough as a 'job'. Tragic times holmes.

Uhuh, ye, with all that laid out, I don't expect anyone to actually be at my standards unless you're willing to spare that much time to do just that to crusading the bots, but I do encourage everyone to help in anyway they can as listed, even if it's just taking the snip and sending it to the Customer Support section cause this is a issue that effects the game in ways more than just being visually a eyesore if you're idling in town, or passing by, or whatever the reason. I know this much given I was mainly doing this all alone when I spared time from my travels region to region in-game to pass by these filthy idle-player zones that scorch my eyes to decimate these bots to turn in my weekly report of the new or reoccurring bots to submit to the GM staff to clean up on, that nobody despite doing not much then idling/tabbing out, or whatever the case usually is when I have to see the same damn players for hours after making trips all around and back to just see them there still, that everyone, even the GMs can't do much if there's no cooperation on aiding a issue that's been lingering for years now. (Just like Rejuvenogi/Rejuvinogi? I don't remember the exact spelling for that event, but that last ditch public effort they tried to do to put awareness about the bot issues, but it fell flat and pointless then a title grabbing event cause nobody bothered to even acknowledging much of the reason it was issued as an event.) Last thing I got to really mention is, that this needs to be a consistent effort on everyone's part if you remotely are against this sort of issue persisting for this long, and are trying to help the issue in anyway you can, even if it's just putting the word out there, putting a 'Blocked' on these hooligans isn't going to stop the issue or just noticing it and then ignoring it cause you couldn't be ass'd to do something about it isn't going to do much.

That's about all I gotta say, lmao. Here's the link to the Customer Support section in case anybody doesn't remember how to get there - https://support-mabinogi.nexon.net/hc/en-us

Good luck if anyone plans on aiding the effort for some duration, way, shape or form towards lessening at the least to this issue. Hopefully unlike last time I posted once a long while back on a thread of a similar bot related issue on the forum, this post won't get deleted for whatever reason so that somebody at least reads it by chance.

ADVENTURE ON HOLMES. YE BOI IS TAGGING OUT OF THE RING BROTHER, THE HULKSTER IS CALLING FOR ME IN THE RING OF RAW.

  • An Interesting Tale

Happy Holidays you dirty apes, ya boi is back from the depths once again with some spiced drinks and hefty dishes of tales (Just kidding I'm just going to try to recall whatever I can at the moment).

They say if you pray to the gods of Moyer long enough, you'll be blessed with the best skills of fish culinary preparation of your server. They tell of the legend that if you learn how to decode the secrets of Erinn, you'll experience a cut-scene of the truth of what it means to have the title of transcending death. They say if you lurk around Port Cobh long enough, you'll see Madoc place mysterious barrels and crates near the docks with a despicable grin on his face at the peak of night when Eweca is at it's highest. They tell of the story of a mad man who investigates a ruins in the depths of Iria and to this day he'll never stop in his quest of old aging book guides that'll he request of to others for errands. They say if you travel to the depths of the sandstorm filled desert of Longa and uncover relic statues of old, you'll find spooky demonic goats that might or might not form a pentagram (Best done when Eweca is at a all time high peak as well for EFFECT).

They say if you wait long enough at the waters where the Carnivorous Fish resides, you may fish one up, but the legend of the Shark Slayer will appear in a cut-scene if you happen to fish two simultaneously, the cut-scene will show a mysterious fisherman coming to fish alongside you, time passes, then as you reel a big one and feel the reward of the big catch, a second shark will rip you off the edge and take you into the waters, and then the mysterious fisherman pulls out the legendary sword Tethra and with one movement, tear the second shark in half. In the aftermath of recovering from the incident, the fisherman gathers the remains of the defeated shark into a simple leather bag after cleaning the fish of it's blood and walks off to who knows where.

Putting the mumbo jumbo tall tales aside, I do have an actual tale of my times to share. So as I make it my urge and need to live up to my new found hobby of becoming a Chef after my long path of obtaining achievement and pride as one, I try with most ingredients I come across to not waste them, be it from cooking them myself, using the ingredients players or monsters drop, selling off the goods to the NPCs even if the resale isn't so great, and my new added in side business of selling them for relatively cheap on auction along side my other cheap wares. I came across a dip who decided to drop a Blowfish, no clue who it was, but I as second nature as it is to me nowadays, I take it up and bring it with me as I had a place I was heading on the way as I saw the ingredient. Forward in time as I manage to settle down to cook up some foods, I decided to joke as I got the preparation ingredients for some Blowfish Sashimi underway, that I'd finally get all recipes of Blowfish with Fish Soup already under my belt as best in the server, multiple times even (Which fills me with putrid PRIDE). So I was doing some cooking daily quests and some others at Belvast where I was at for the time, and after finishing that got around to preparing the dish, after talking about getting the server's best multiple times in my head, LOW AND BEHOLD, DISH PERFECTION, KNOCKED INTO THE NEXT REALM, REVIVED, AND RETURNED, a quality FIVE STAR PERFECTED dish for Blowfish Sashimi. At that very moment all I could think of at the moment was, whoever dropped this fish is a damn filthy old swine on the buy one, get one free aisle section. Also that I appreciated that this fish I manage to find on the floor wasn't wasted in the slightest. Another journey to being a pro chef, maybe even getting the Grandmaster rank when I think it's time, although I'm already a technical Master Chef by title, talent rank, and even journal rating standards I'll probably get it when I got my last Chef skill to Rank 1, but I'll probably still hold off on remotely think I'm worth holding the literal talent title of Culinary Artist until maybe I can get to fifty or more server's best recipes under my belt. I barely remember how many I hold though anyway at the moment, it's probably been twenty or so at least now, but soon I'll feel THE WIZARDRY of the worth of my dusty talent title in my list, until then this Professional Chef 2nd title will suffice my worth of pride.

Hope ya'll enjoy the weird string-along of tall tales, and tales I could muster in. I WILL BE BACK, whenever as usual to amuse whoever reads this still. Until then, see you goofs and scums in-game or on here NEXT TIME,

    CULINARY DREAMS, ADVENTURE ON HOLMES.

  • An Interesting Tale

Got a short tale for ya'll since I'm stopping by here.

So aside from my agony and pain as I'm attempting at the final stretch of getting SS rank for my Dan 3 Healing exam, it hurtfully pains me to know that I have to quite literally be a spectator and let the AI's of a two-skill only Chick and a Red Bear duke it out, while juggling which gets what power buff first in increments. I thought Pummel, and Shooting Rush was semi-bad, but this takes another level of luck and letting the game decide if you pass or not. DREAMS OF BECOMING A PRO HEALER, ONE DAY, my Cheap Mana Magician Tikki Healing Wand will come into play one day in my dire situations.

Hope ya'll enjoyed the small story of my grief. Hope to see another tale on here when I come back to see or to post another filthy tale.
I'm going to flush my gold funds down Erkley Falls now for my next attempt at the exam next time. (1-800-273-8255, h31p m3)

I don't know man, boiling in that pot with Glewyas long enough, and even one day, legend has it that if you and him continue the crusade against rats and ingredient ratio perfection, it will create a new recipe dish in the Cooking Journal known as the Rat Skewers: A delectable assortment of chunky rodents on a skewer, heavily spiced and prepared by a certain Milletian and Glewyas. It'd be a legendary achievement for any who owns that spot as the sole maker of the dish, DREAMS CAN BE REAL.

A short tale I before I get drained away into real life again till' next time I can come back to check.
So I was wandering one day with a old bud of mine who was my longest companion more or less in my ten years of playing this, we were traversing after a while and somehow ended up in Longa Desert after probably crossing the Rano to Connous bridge, it was like hours we've been on, just traveling together if I recall, he was like dead tired, ready to log off, and like for some reason, I got so fascinated in a new discovery I learnt while my deep explorations of Bangor's origins at the time and the workings in that area, so like cutting it down for another time, basically the fomors that resided in the region that weren't in the dungeon are just now homeless or freed from living in the inside of the enclosed realm of Barri, so putting a side joke to it, it's almost slavery like considering how the ogres managed to free themselves in the outskirts of the area, so like while my bud was dying of mental strain from the hours long of dumb stuff we embarked on usually due to me or some idea we come across, I was so insistent on literally telling him and showing him since he couldn't spot this image we were sharing through Skype at the time for communication use. It was this specific angle of perspective view on the image I had snipped, that just boggled me aside from the fact the ogres were oddly always forced to wear colorful -removed- thongs in their service in the dungeon mines, like this angle of the in-dungeon Ogre Warriors was really peculiar to me, cause if you angle the view of the underside putting aside the somewhat detailed groins and outline of the ogre's junk, like literally his entire lower half going up was a -removed- rectangular prism, like I died so badly internally from laughing at, and the fact I was trying so hard to show him in his dying state a image of some 2D model's underside, and just hovering my mouse so excessively all over the groins and around to just outline the fact how amusing it was to see a plump (in more ways than one) ogre's body contorts and how it just goes from thick to just turning into a ramp of a lower half, like you could use that mini-potion, an a skateboard or snowboard item to just do some kick-flips or some goofin' junk just on how much of a slope it's body was. It's really hilarious and amazing just recalling the depth of time I just made him and myself trek that entire prairie, forest, deserts just to show him how my bad sense of humor was, we all goofed on the whole idea near end, I ended up needing to log off for IRL reasons, and he cause well he had to drop dead for sleep at least. It was good times.

I got a quick question if anyone is still reading through this thread, what do ya'll do in Erinn usually nowadays? Ya'll can summarize it however ya can, but I still have hope that it's not as desolate in activity for whoever is still lurking in the wastelands of this decaying game. (Hopefully, lul.)

Hope ya'll enjoy the small story, let me hear your thoughts on the question above whenever ya'll feel like it. I live and pursue for all the things that are amusing.
    SEE YA LATER YA DUMPSTERS.

Pretty sure the original npcs are a lot older. It's the curse of the Partholons that made the Tuatha de Dannan with eternal life unless killed.

    @Kensamaofmari
Probably given the NPC's circumstances. That does remind me though coming back to check up on this thread...

YE BOI HERE TO UNLOAD MY HEFTY, LOADED, HOT OOZE OF A STORY FOR YA'LL TO READ.
So maybe a year or more back, I don't recall given how long I've done things my way which seems to be unique to most people on my server's general perspective. I was chatting on Skype or Discord when I had an account with one of my only few real buds online I've had the chance to be my companion for the time we spent together (R.I.P. Sybyl). We were chatting and whatnot for some duration of time while I was traveling alone, or him accompanying me, I honestly can't even remember anymore with the amount of junk I've done over the course of years for jokes and some humor while playing a slowly stale growth of progress that Mabinogi has had. We were chatting about since we got into Vindictus's lore since we played the game to try it out more back then, I got into it mainly since it branches into Erinn's lore and cause it's part of Mabinogi as a series. I think I brought up the topic due to my heavy interest at the time as a aspiring Treasure Hunter or I already was pretty much a bonafide Treasure Hunter at that point as I research Vindictus and Mabinogi in my gameplay's with both games as I tend to do archaeology in-game on Mabinogi as a hobby whenever I'm out traveling or wandering do who knows what. I came across the idea and luckily at the time my bud was sadly way more deep in terms of completion of the storyline in Vindictus at the time for more specific bits he added on in our little exploration of how Erinn came to be from Tir Na Nog's realm/Vindictus's timeline/world.
We were going on how the NPC's like Ferghus, Shayla, Aodhan, misc. characters and races - including the playable races of both worlds, on how they transferred over into Erinn and how the transitioned worked as Erinn is a technical leeching realm in Mabinogi/Vindictus's universe. So going off that basis of things we got into with added in bits of hard factual bits, and some critical thinking on my end and not sure if my bud was so interested, critical thinking wise as I was in the topic, ended up with a good basis on how the NPCs managed to transfer over their souls and body make-up into Erinn as we see them present day. Given so far they have no recollection of how they were back in TNN, like in some bits that I got to see during the storyline in Vindictus as a basis of evidence on how the worldly transitions work, it must of likely been a condition set by the current deity overseeing Erinn when it was created, Aton Cimeni, alongside whatever otherworldly beings there possibly are in the universe's lore that are equal or more than Aton Cimeni abilities.
Like for example in how they manage to be able to transfer over like how the soulstream in Erinn works for milletians, they must have reset their entire knowledge and gained abilities back in TNN's world and only managed to carry over what their genetic make-up would allow them to pursue, as like how Shayla used to be Ferghus's aid in a sense, now she's Admiral Owen's aid now, and similar to how Ferghus's innate nature towards becoming a blacksmith must have led him back on the same track, but as ironic as it may be, he obviously lost his ability to repair amazingly perfect (totally not cause Vindictus's world, all repair types are pretty much 100% guaranteed), but yeah it all started to add up in the slightly unraveling as me and my bud went about on that sub-topic on how the transfer worked, I do like how ironically Aodhan (Spoilers if nobody hasn't done this part of the story in Vindictus yet/doesn't play Vindictus) ends up becoming the subbing leader for the town's military authority of Colhen in TNN vs. he's now the sub-leader for Emain Macha's current governing body and paladin group in Erinn. Ironically both his position to having him becoming leader ended up as it is because in Erinn, Emain Macha's former city adviser and aid to the former king, Ersa, and the deceased king Rian. And in TNN, the former main head-honcho Gwynn who more or less had more command of the Crimson Knights compared to Aodhan, ended up getting K.I.A. .
It really is an interesting discovery when you consider how much ancestry and things got formed and shared from the previous world before Erinn came to be, all the genetic bits, fragments of Ergs that transferred over to create how we see things now in Erinn and how they are. And knowing there's more to it if you keep digging, probably why I enjoy my occupation of Treasure Hunter that I wholly invest personally as a mindset and hobby as I continue to play still on here.

Hope ya'll enjoyed the small tid-bit of this story and more or less a entire Bad Stories with Walkerr novel in a nutshell that I write whenever I get bothered to write those 30-40 panel books on MabiNovel.
Let me know what ya'll think, or continue to post comments, or your own interesting stories of your time on Mabinogi, keeps the thread with a list of things for people to at least read about on these forums if it isn't about some junk like "OH MAN, THIS ELUSIVE BLACK BAG" or like fookin' this hilarious thread of people actually making a run-way 2D models in Mari's section called like I think 'Mari's Daily Fashion' or some gunk like that, if ya'll got some humor, should just ingest that thread and slowly realize what these people are literally doing is just making a photo album of some endless cycling fashion of 2D avatars, but lul, that's just my sense of humor.

SEE YA AROUND NEXT TIME, I WILL BE BACK WITH MORE TRASH TO DUMP ON YA'LL, or if ya'll want, feel free to -removed- criticize me if ya'll wanna joke on me for my posts. I will welcome ya'll with -removed- a warm welcoming hug for all ya'll.

    *wink*
