  • Updated: List of things that feel Outdated

Commerce is also extremely old these days, there is nothing wrong with the system but we need new trade routes. add Commerce in Iria and improve the Ducats shop. does anyone even Bounty Hunt anymore? I rarely do unless I have some Bounty Hunting passes to get rid of. bringing Commerce to Iria would be a good chance to make a few new bandits to Bounty Hunt and some of them could have a more Filia or Vales style bandit homestead.

as for rafting that river is pretty long. they could extend the rafting route, improve the shop, and fix some of the rafting glitches. it is still helpful for getting likeability pots though.

Adding Commerce to Iria means revamping Iria to have 'trade routes' setup, which can be interesting if the devs created 'routes' as roads between interesting points as a way to show how Iria went from a wilderness to a 'semi-wild' continent... But I think Devcats would do this only if they got a major content that situates in Iria (like a mainstream plot).

Currently, G9~G23 are all in Udlah and Belvast. Saga is the only thing that situates mainly in Iria, but doesn't really have the same Mainstream quality as the Generation mainstream questlines (they usually bring in new systems and skills and item sets, or even new game modes).

I do get the feeling that one of the future Generations will eventually involve Iria more (G23 has quests that takes place in Iria, I haven't progressed that far yet though). Old characters being reintroduced or talked about would be interesting... Mabinogi isn't much about lore anymore... Nao basically went 'meh' with her postion in life(stream) now.

We could see a expansion of Rafting in another version with air transportation like Airships maybe... It makes a whole lot more sense to do this in Iria versus Udlah (and also as a aid for players who cannot travel via pets)... Sure the moongates and such are really big conveniences, but they can't get you everywhere that easily when you don't have a pet to get to one.

Airships could function like Hot-air balloon minigames where players ride from major destinations to another, and will need to protect the airship from enemies (maybe involve new Generational content like Wyvern riding enemies with bows and such?).

Would be interesting to have aerial combat mechanic as well.

Not worth the time or money.
Not everyone is a whale you know.

I think the point is that Nexon is TRYING to invite whales, but wondering where they are all gone... (on a side note: human hunts whales nearly to extinction).

Whales are a class of their own, like the rich versus the poor, and the powerful versus the lack thereof... They tend to get secluded into their own circles, or lead their own band, or end up alone. In some games and communities, whales are seen as a form of negative influence to game companies in general, in others, they are the focus of attention (fortnite "pro" gamers that livestreams alot and spends a lot of money for example).

Another problem I see in the game industry these days are the relationship between developers and publishers... Devcat in this case is more of a Nexon hiver... They literally operate under them to a point. They cannot say or do things in general without permission so to speak.

As a IP, Mabinogi should be passed onto a indie dev group in the future, but utilize better contracts and deals with a publisher (like say Nexon) in order to keep their creative freedom to do things and do things properly (not leave massive plot holes in the game's story for instance).

With my perception of what Nexon (as a whole) is, currently... They are basically bought out by Chinese influence since half their income comes from China.

  • Fantastic Memory Event Issue

What I did solo was use close combat, reset skill hot keys to reference (I only did that after struggling through 2 waves, should do from beginning).

    Set up ice mines.

Smash, normal attack, windmill the heck out of everything. Try not to get too far from the road.
If you can, get stam pots during breaks because you'll need it vs Trickster

I did this except just flat out tanked the game... Until the witch came and thundered me to death.

Pro-tip, if time isn't a issue you can get a trickster to be stuck in the terrain away from the objective they try to go to, like say lure them to the back of the castle then run to the other side to get them to get stuck on it. Then run to the center of the map and wait and kill the giant slime for bonus stuff like money (it's completely random) and HP gain on your progress.

I had like 950 str, but it doesn't defeat the cookie witch easily in 1 hit since there's advanced heavy stander and apparently 70% protection on the monster (I have base damage of like 350~400+ damage).

Alchemist might be the best bet, or Ranger, due to the increased range and quick ability to aim and shoot after each shot. Crank up your HP (for flame burst) or Dex (for ranged) to the max and snipe everything in one hit (Alchemist can basically barrage a wall of them, like how I used to do it for Lorraine's nightmare in the past).

8% HP = +8 DMG every 100 HP. It costs 200G to add +50HP, so basically +4DMG to flameburst.
Shock gets 35% of MP as damage so it might be interesting to do certain builds with it, though it can only be used once in a while due to cooldowns.
Bring a full party. It's not meant to do solo if you want to clear the whole thing, though you only need to clear wave 1 10 times to finish the event, which is easy enough to solo. Clearing the whole thing just lets you finish it sooner (you get ~60 Memories instead of 30, so you'd finish in 5 days vs 10).

Yeah, for the consumables you need to scroll down.

I usually rush +MP until capped, and then max ice spear, then buy about 40 MP potions (that can usually last you till the last wave or two), then just spend everything else on Int till you're one-shotting stuff with Ice-spear. The first couple waves IS isn't too great since it's still low level but it can wipe out most of the enemies waves once you've got it R1 and enough Int to one-shot most enemies with a 1 charge and your explosion radius big enough to catch most of the enemies as they're spawning.

And when you get to the witch, remind one of your melee guys to Somersault Kick her so she'll stop spamming adv magics. Makes her A LOT easier.

I would suggest using the 'AI wall collision trick' to farm gold from blue slimes to last the early games a bit, you can randomly get Life increase and Gold increase from them (if you don't pay attention they might spawn with Life Loss though).

I went from the usual 30 fragments, to like 39... In about 20-30 minutes of play... Solo... Would work much faster in a party though due to more collaboration and gold farming.

  • Gold bags and Boxes REVAMP

They release events where multitude of gold boxes and larger capacity bags ends up being thrown into the economy, so that's what you gotta keep in mind.

Why not expand these sort of 'storage' capacity into homestead, to encourage homestead's growth and use?

Implement 'storage' props that enhances your bank capacity and even allowing you to stow away items back in homestead.
For instance a prop that acts as a 'remote' bank coupon.
A 'treasure chest' that you can put into your homestead, which lets you store specific items (production related chests or crates maybe?).
    A three tiered 'Chest' you can build which stores equipment only. (Bronze / Silver / Gold) holding (2 x 5, 4 x 6 and 6 x 8 slots).

For instance a 'Blacksmith crate' you can build in homestead which lets you fill up 4x6 slots of crafting materials.
Or a Herbalist table, allowing you to store 4x6 slots of potion making materials.

These props can be utilized when crafting via blacksmith or potion making, inside the homestead by consuming them remotely?
