I'm a human and I currently use a Black Dragon Knight's Giant Sword with a spirit in it, and I've had it for a long time now and got me out of tight spaces. But going up against bosses in G21 Face To Face & G23 Unexpected Guests, I realised I'm not making it. I also use Altam's Armor as my main light armor.

I recently got a full set of Lamellar Armor from a very kind friend, and even a Frosted Borealis Blade, but I really don't know the potential for either of them. Should I stick to what I got or change? And if so, what and how should I upgrade them and should I move my spirit to the Frosted Borealis?

I have saved up a bit of money, but I don't got a fixed income in the game so figured might as well work with what I got.

I was a Rank 1 Blacksmith with Blacksmithing as my Talent and only had a few more skills to train. I might have gotten too giddy and went ahead and took an advancement test. I passed and was able to acquire the Dan 1 secondary title and leveled up my Rank 1 Blacksmithing skill to Dan 1 without finishing out the remaining skills.

I am not able to equip my Dan title despite that it's in my Available Titles List (for secondary titles). I'm assuming I should have gotten the title "Master of Blacksmithing" before ranking to Dan? Did I jump the gun? So, I'm doing the little quest chain from the Bard Camp! Love bards, I always pick Bard as my talent!
But I came across a problem.
So do the quest prior to Yvona & Ailla's time, she gives me her music scroll and mandolin.
Nothing wrong there.

But I had repeat playing instrument on for easier skill leveling, I had COMPLETELY forgotten.
I hit play because she wanted me to play it, leave to go do housework, come back, all 100 plays for the scroll are gone!
Yet that wouldn't be a problem but as it turns out, the next quest [Yvona & Ailla's time] asked me to do it again!

And the thing is, she asks if you have the scroll, 'n whichever I choose [I lost it] or [No], it will say I have it in the my inventory, WHICH IS TRUE!
Because you can't do anything to get it out of your possession!
You can't drop, there's no option for destroy, no giving it to your pet, no banking, no trading, no gifting!
But you can't play it for her with all the plays gone!

Even stranger while Aillah is the one the quest light shines & you're most definitely supposed to go to her as she is the only one you can interact in depth enough to consider quest-important, it says Tengu, the old lady at the camp is who the quest scroll says I'm supposed to talk to, but it's definitely without a doubt Ailla I should be talking to as she asks me to play the scroll!

So I'm softlocked in my favorite quest line and I don't know what to do!
I really think the only thing anyone could do is for a mod or admin to get into my account & give me a new [Ailla's Music Score].

My characters name is TallTailTail in the Nao server and I can't advance in this quest line (which iirc) has some items and abilities behind the other quests in the same questline.

So it looks like my elf needs 13 more points of base defense.

I've got the defense skill at rank 1, so based on the data at https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Defense#Summary raising it to Dan 3 would give another 15 points defense. The bad news is that I'm well outside the North American continent, which makes the dan tests horribly laggy, so I'll probably never manage that. So I'm trying to figure out if there are any other ways to get the extra 13 points.

Pretty much all my other skills are at rank 1 already, or whatever the maximum is if it's lower than rank 1. I'm still working on Rest, Campfire, Fynn Bead Burnishing and Glyph Lore, but none of those are going to give any significant kick to base defense. (Glyph Lore is stuck at level 3, because the winemaking minigame is also sensitive to continental lag, so I'm slowly accumulating training seals to get that to rank 1.)

I've got lots of technique skills that aren't anywhere near maxed, but I figure those aren't going to affect base defense, because it would it create weird recursion issues if a technique skill could boost base defense when base defense is used to determine eligibility for a technique skill.

I haven't done any grandmaster talents yet. The best option there seems to be raising close combat from Master to Grandmaster, which gives an additional 30 strength, which adds only 3 to defense. Might be useful in conjunction with other things, but grandmaster tests by themselves won't get me to 150 base defense.

Can anyone suggest any other ways to boost base defense that I haven't mentioned above?

Is the amount of combos you can get random? Sometimes it gives me one line of AWSD combos and then ends the jam, sometimes it allows me to try 2, 3 and very rarely 4. I've tested landing different levels of great for the initial F1 thing and it seems totally random.

I just want to know if I can increase the abiblity to be offered 3 combos, because I find the quest requirements very annoying for getting 3 combos if I'm usually only offered between 1 and 2.
