    Here's a logic question
Why is there a glove for weaving in the first place? Isn't it usually better when weaving to be felt with your bare hands and fingers?

They are a thing. The first hit there is from Alibaba which is the Chinese version of Amazon. Since silk as a weaving material originated in China, they must know what they're doing and I suppose you really do need gloves for it. It probably has something to do with either silk being delicate or due to the cross section of the fibers the gloves are need to protect the hands from being chewed up; one or the other.

But in Mabi, we don't use silkworm silk, rather we use spider silk, which I believe is said to be the thinnest natural silk and very difficult to use. It isn't used in the real world because no one can make a spider farm to produce it. I think using gloves would not be good for spider silk xD

Oh indeed, getting rid of them altogether would not exactly break my heart. As for the real world, as far as I know there are no spiders that are about 2 metres (2 yards 8 inches) across. If there were maybe using them make silk could be viable; who knows. On the other hand, maybe we could breed them by raising them in a sealed high oxygen environment to try to reactivate those genes from millions of years ago that gave us dragonflies a metre across.
