Dear Milletians,

This past Saturday, February 11th, 2017 we received several reports of a player seen with one of the rarest items in the game, known as the Soluna Blade. This player was reported to have the item equipped on their character while they were near the Moongate in West Dunbarton, on Ruairi. The rarity of the item and how soon it appeared on the North American service of Mabinogi immediately caused suspicions and controversy within the player community. The situation escalated quickly into several communication channels, including US forums, Korean forums, social channels and Reddit. Our team has been working diligently to gather all the facts, take action as necessary, and resolve some of the aftermath of the incident mentioned above.

The Mabinogi Team takes these matters seriously and we apply rigorous internal processes to ensure we are gathering all the facts in order to address issues that are negatively impacting our player community. Though these processes take time, they are executed in a manner with the end goal of resolving an issue at its root. Our team takes the health of the game, our player sentiment, and the safety of our staff very seriously.

Through on-going investigations, we discovered the item was obtained by the player via clerical error. Overall, investigating player specific information is both a sensitive and private matter which for legal and security purposes we do not disclose publicly. However, we would like to assure the community that we did take appropriate action and removed that item from the player’s possession. In no way would anyone from our team deliberately jeopardize the state of the game in this manner.

At this time we would also like to note that the safety of our players and of our staff are of the utmost importance to our organization. While we often encourage everyone to voice their opinions, we will not tolerate user abuse, harassment or violent threats committed against our players or staff. Please refer to our Policies and Agreements for further details.

We would like to assure the community once again that we have and will continue to take all appropriate actions in relation to our internal investigations. We apologize for any frustrations this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
