UI scaling high rez moniter

Ok, so I've been trying to fix the scaling problem the UI has with a high rez monitor. I went to compatibility for the client.exe to override the scaling. That fixed the issue with the UI being too small, but now it's too large. I do play in window mode, saying this here since window mode isn't effected by the resolution settings in the game itself. So i know i can change to small icons, which fixes only the icons to return to something like a proper size, but every other interface is still very large. I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to solve this without me just lowering the resolution of my monitor.

That is an interesting effect. I don't think it should be a big deal if you just minimise the status-bar. Even at «Normal» UI size I still prefer to keep it minimised anyway. Or is it also affecting your other information-windows, like Friend-List, Character-Info, Quest-Tab, Skills, etc. ?

High-Res settings usually make the menu-stuff/status-windows smaller in relation to the rest of the screen so I cannot help but to wonder if maybe there is something going on with the compatibility between the graphics-card GPU in relation to the monitor or even mother-board's graphics-driver.

I think it would be easier to come up with more definitive/conclusive answers if you mention the model of computer, graphics-card, monitor (and whether connection is via VGA or HDMI-cable), and any other relevant «technical-specifications» information being used, etc.
