Inspired by the Rare Blades in XBC2, Rare Spirits would be special, named Weapon Spirits possessing their own unique appearances, attributes, personalities, Spirit Awakening animations, and possibly even abilities that they can grant their wielders. Like Rare Blades, obtaining them would probably be RNG based, albeit with the availability of specific Spirits dependent on the type of weapon being used to make the Spirit's contract, as well as the Element of the stone being used.

True enough. That's just how XBC2 does it, and I couldn't really think of anything else.

It could work if the random aspect is kept near the beginning, such as when Edern refines the Ancient Spirit Fossil (I think you can get more than one from the Spirit Fossil Dungeon). That way you could just keep refining them until you get a Rare Spirit Stone. As for the chance, well...I don't really have a deep enough understanding of probability to know what would be a "fair" percentage.

Bumping this because I changed the name of the example, as Eiry is going to be reintroduced separately in the upcoming BEYOND update.
