Moonlight Island Cooking suggestion
First of all. Thank you for introducing Moonlight Island. I love the concept, although I believe the execution needs some work.
For example. I have my cooking plot at level three which allows me to have three workers in there, one at the workbench, one at the table and one at the oven. Unfortunately, it seems that this has ZERO benefit for actual production. All three workers lose the same amount of endurance but no additional dishes are made, and all dishes are the same 3 star quality.
Which brings me to my suggestion.
How about the number of workers determines the dish quality? So one worker makes 3 star dishes, two workers make 4 star dishes, and three workers make 5 star dishes. That way we have an incentive to increase plot level since for each dish consumed by islanders, island satisfaction is increased by
- 3 per 3 star dish
- 5 per 4 star dish, and
- 8 per 5 star dish.
Also, as mentioned in another thread... allowing us to mass produce/auto cook would be an excellent to speed the process up when it comes to creating ingredients used in other recipes.
You could do something similar in the other plots though in their case it would be more likely to be an increase in production amount, perhaps without any increase in time or materials required.
Comments
still, i don't think the path to becoming a good anything is or should be linear and that quality in everything produced could and should be randomized or that the bands on which said randomization currently acts (if any exists) should be widened on account of both, the volatibility and the subjectivity of its perception, at least as how it is processed in the game's source material (i.e. well, life itself), no?
but, what do i know? 'best dishes' scrolling on the screen unending at every goddammed minute are a reality we live in this game and it seems everyone is 1. ok with it and 2. striving to copy that, so, real passion, attention for detail and respect are not of importance.
