Moonlight Islanders can chop wood?

If I visit this week's Spotlight Moonlight Island I can see a couple of islanders chopping wood. How do we make that happen?

I've got one of my islanders up to Level 5 Carpentry skill, but when I look at the production tasks they can complete there only seem carpentry tasks performed at the workbench, and handicraft tasks. So I can get this islander to use the Carpentry Workbench to turn Firewood into Average Firewood, but I can't get them to use the Chopping Block to obtain Firewood. What am I missing?
