Bomb Steeds cannot be tamed

Bomb Steeds cannot be tamed using Control of Darkness.
In a trial of 200 uses of rank 1 Control of Darkness while equipped with two Red Scar Longswords, in which the 1st 100 tries were conducted on Bomb Steeds of less than 20% health, and the latter 100 tries were conducted on a Bomb Steed at 100% health, 0 of the 200 tries succeeded.
Given that Bomb Steads were considered "Normal" while I was not equipped with any CP enchants, I had around 2000 more CP than the Bomb Steeds.

Failing 200 times in a row with rank 1 Control of Darkness while having around 2000 CP more than the target is almost impossible, thus Bomb Steeds are bugged and either cannot be tamed or have a bugged infinitesimally small tame rate.

They use to be tameable but people were taming them and then warping over with them to dunby and causing them to blow up and kill people so Nexon changed it to were they cant be tamed in any way.

Then using Control of Darkness on a Bomb Steed should return a message saying that it cannot be tamed, not that the taming was unsuccessful.

I don't see why you wouldn't use hydra to kill it. Less effort, more efficient.

Because the original design of the boss WAS to use Bomb Steeds.

Also sending exploding steeds was more fun.

Times change. Perhaps it's time to stop living in the past.

In order to use hydra, you have to get into point blank range, which means aggroing the Lich, the Bomb Steeds, and all of the Zombies and Ghouls around, and you have to keep them still so that they don't get out of the hydra's range. For players without Master of Hydra Transmutation, this is either incredibly hard to pull off, or takes too long that the Arc Lich despawns.
With the original method, you could lure Bomb Steeds away to tame them and have them attack the Arc Lich with Self Destruct loaded in and never draw aggro. Additionally, if you tamed enough Bomb Steeds simultaneously, you could instantly kill the Arc Lich.

All you have to do is preemptively put up a rain cloud. If I remember correctly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the lich can spawn on either side of Metus. While on Sundays he will always spawn smack in the middle.
