    Looks like a design issue. Maybe the artist had trouble putting in all the little details and went for a more simple and similar look. Maybe make a thread in suggestions asking for a redesign to look more accurate to the orignal if possible. Ive commissioned character art in the past and occassionaly artists will opt for a similar yet less complex design to make it easier on them so that maybe what happened here.
