Not entirely. It will be redundant only after Alexina is brought into the fold.
That's the thread announcing the specific merge occurring this June and the discussion thereof. The purpose of this thread would be to focus on a future merge involving Alexina, since a full merge has not yet occurred.
As the OP, I would like to state that Nexon has previously mentioned that the merge between Tarlach, Mari, and Ruairi are to make the population equivalent to Alexina.
There have yet been no official statements as to whether or not a future merge with Alexina will be necessary.
As the original purpose of this thread was to discuss the possibility or need for a merge, the resulting merge of 3 servers make this thread redundant and obsolete after a long 3 years. It has been a good long 3 years, but all Megathreads must eventually come to an end.
