Those are just things in games, and devs gotta make money somehow.

Like I said before, they will either adapt to new rules and regulations and survive, and those who can't will drop out the market.
In a way, we could end up worse than before because this is how monopolies are created, through the process of natural selection.

Comic book industry is already back in the gutter, thanks to a certain global situation.
I don't doubt that video games will be next, unless you're Fortnite or Blizzard.
(Or have a "Zombie Day" plan, that would get you by too.)

Survival-Pressure is what forces people to come up with creative-solutions.
What exactly is consumed by the video-game industry though in order to keep it running ?
The main things it needs are computer/server-maintenance and a steady supply of electricity... right ?
I know there are ways to produce electricity though without being forced onto the «grid-system» of monthly electricity-bills.
As I see it the first industries being hit the hardest will be restaurants and numerous mom-and-pop-shops.
The book-industry has always been one of an information-reliant industry; comics of course would be «shelved» in place of books/manuals that instruct people how to survive some particular «global situation» and I'm sure that book-sales for various survival-methods and cost-cutting tricks have probably seen a spike in sales with the current situation/environment.

I can also take various other educated guesses as to which other industries are probably «raking in the dough» due to being perceived needs by the general-masses, such as toilet-paper, hand-sanitizer, food is of course always a necessity, then there are those masks...
Just had to show the «mask» that I choose to wear...

I vote nay. This game is rated teen, it's not for children. If you're under 13 and playing Mabinogi, you lied at account creation and you're breaking the terms of service by being here. A teen should know what they're doing when it comes to spending money, and if they don't then their parents horribly neglected teaching them any life skills, and that's not a company's fault.

The fashionogis and pay-2-win elite players are the reason this game is able to stay running. I never buy gachapons myself, but I'm grateful for the people that do get gach because they're paying for the servers and keeping a game that I love alive.

13 old teen is pretty much a child to me still. They don't understand what gambling is and how addictive it can become. The later they learn about this addiction the better are chances that they won't lose to it. People like you are the reason why bad parenting exists. It's best for children and teens to learn about addiction as later as possible to protect them as best as possible from drug and gambling abuse.

I'm now imagining a 13 year old coming to casino because he's responsible enough to do so. Nice. I guess we can also let alchohol purchase to minors as well because they are responsible enough for that too.

If children wasting away their lunch money and parent credit cards wasn't a thing since they are "responsible enough" then we wouldn't have such things happening right now:

Tbh I've been wondering what's been going through most Americans' heads lately, I've been slowly developing a disgust of "my own people" and the desire to carry around a coconut for the purpose of "knocking sense into peoples' heads" has been steadily growing
Prolly just as well I'm a home hermit who doesn't like to go outside anyway-

It's a bit more complicated than that, I think it has something to do with online privacy regulations.
Maybe there'll be stricter ESRB/PEGI rating system regulations, as PSO2 recently released with "Simulated Gambling" and "In game purchases" with a Teen rating.
We might start to see games like that change to the gambling industry's recommended Mature/Adult Only rating.
So, Mabinogi being as old as it is with a wide fanbase, will mostly likely remain a nostalgia driven loot box machine.
I'm totally going to laugh once this senate bill passes, because there's no way that SEGA is as prepared for this as Nexon.

Yet it is ok for IDs to be present when buying alcohol, cigarettes, and entering clubs/bars?

Nexon just gonna casually block regions which has banned loot boxes. Most likely block their Cash Shop like Belgium has it at this moment.

Most likely will see Nexon KR cut off other unprofitable regions.
North America server will likely just remain as it is under a new ESRB rating.
Because Nexon KR is just that lazy.

Oh, and SEGA is a literal joke.
I moved the PSO2 launcher to a different and not full drive, but now it says it has 0 data and is dead.
Not even Nexon's launcher is filled with this incomprehensible garbage.

And the «freedom» to get pulled over and «ticketed» for a 700$US fine the MOMENT your tail-light burns out.
And the «freedom» to get pulled over and «ticketed» for a 750$US fine the MOMENT your license-plate tab is deemed «expired»
And the «freedom» to get «ticketed» for a 350$US fine the MOMENT your «parking meter» timer goes over by ONE SECOND.
And the «freedom» to have a cop YELL at you to «DROP YOUR WEAPON» when you're just picking up litter from the ground.
And the «freedom» to learn the most-important life-skills from Modern Educayshun which highly improves society (note: kappa!).
And the «freedom» to get pulled over if you happen to be «driving while black» and then hand-cuffed behind your back & thrown down to the ground just because you peacefully and calmly ask about the legitimacy of the stop, followed by the cop grabbing his walkie-talkie and whining «Wah ! Wah ! Sovereign Citizen alert ! I need back-up !» where 30+ other policemen show up & start beating & kicking you whilst you're on the ground, and yelling at you to «STOP RESISTING!» even after you've been knocked unconscious for over 10 minutes, then they ALL decide to pull out their guns on you and aim at you because they think that you're a «threat» to them (for being black ?) ...possibly even getting pumped full of holes with lead... when the police department «investigates themselves» and finds themselves «not guilty» of any wrong-doing... (unfortunately, I wish I could say this was an exaggeration, but it really does happen in the USSA as is evidenced by the incident with Daniel Shaver and numerous other incidents that are often written about in journalistic-articles)...
And the «freedom» to get bullied, harassed, threatened and intimidated as a 4-6 year old for trying to run a lemonade-stand.
And the «freedom» to get jailed for feeding homeless people even if you're a 90-year-old pastor...
And the «freedom» to get shot & killed by Minnesota Police when you were the mother who called them to «help» you investigate...
And the «freedom» to get your arm blown up while being a peaceful protester with grenades that were thrown by cops who then LIE about it~ (Note : I attempted to access the statements by police-chiefs & departments from their Face-Book pages that were linked from the hyper-linked article in this line's sentence, but, apparently, neither of those statements are available... surprise, surprise, or should I just not be surprised ? And that's not the only evidence of cops lying & covering up their crimes against society...)

I could make this really long but let me just ask : How are you enjoying your «freedom» and how much «protection-monies» (i.e.: taxes, license-fees, license-renewals, license-plate tabs, license-plate tags, State-MONOPOLY vehicle-insurance premiums, registration-fees, etc) are you forking out in terms of the percentage of what most people call «income» in order to make yourself falsely believe that you are some-how... free...?

“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.” -Voltaire
P.S.: War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength, Freedom is Slavery, and Office-Fires can apparently collapse whole entire Buildings (like WTC 7).
P.S.S.: The above «P.S.» is meant to be read with a «kappa!» disclaimer.

Yo! Checkmate! I completely forgot where Nexon is based here in the US, but it can't possibly be Cali, can it?

Video coverage of an Apple Lawsuit that could possibly end Loot Boxes.
(In reality, it'll only make a game rated Mature or Adults Only. And banned in Hawaii.)

It's in El Segundo, CA right near LAX were all the other techie companies are in LA County.

eh id put that blame on Microsoft more than on Sega, because they want the game intergrated with both the Xbox App and the windows store. you can use the JP launcher just fine since the game is not intergrated into anything.
