    Happy 14th Anniversary to everyone!
When is it counted from, though? The Meow thought the game was released in around 2005.

Unfortunately the quests are currently bugged. Whenever you approach the stage where some of the npcs are you are escorted out of festia. This means that anyone trying to do Paula's quest and possibly others, are unable to complete due to a bug. It doesn't even give you a chance merely says "You were escorted out because you don't have a ticket for the upcoming concert." I believe something is broken with the maps and it is thinking you are trying to sneak into the concert hall in emain macha.

Thank you! Can anyone confirm this? How is everyone doing the event? Will they extend the deadline to fix the bug?

«The Cave of Trials undergoes maintenance every Wednesday from 0:00 to 7:00, so ya can't enter during that time. Come back when the maintenance is over.»
    -Duro the Trialkeeper

It would seem that after midnight (pacific) on Wednesdays it becomes impossible to complete the event main daily quest since it requires to «Enter the Cave of Trials», which is unavailable due to a "maintenance" ending as the daily quests reset.

That is over a quarter of the day during which it is impossible to complete it, as well as placed late enough so that you can't just come back later once you discover about it, it's a daily completion lost.

I did not recall seeing that anywhere, and I went back to read the event description web page, as well as "Duro the Trialkeeper" description, and nowhere is this mentionned.

These 5 Instant Prize Tickets are a quite annoying lost to be caused by an untold game mechanic.

I also would like to know what kind of "maintenance" is going on for an in game mini game.

edit : update, if that happens to you, you can make sure to be connected as 7:00 am pacific passes, stay connected, enter the Cave, leave, complete the quest, and it will work, completing the previous day's daily quest that you kept since you did not relog. After that you can relog to receive the new day's daily quest.

Something fishy is going on with the drops for the Prize Tickets for this anniversary event. I believe it has likely happened for the last few but I didn't have any proof. Now I have some proof and I would like Nexon to investigate. I am on Nao and as of this post it is 12:31 pm on 4/7/2022.

Since this is the last week for the event I do not expect there to be prompt investigation but it needs to be investigated none the less, because it may be affecting much of Mabinogi.

So after maintenance I logged into game, 2 minutes after noon. When I got to the prize machine all 15/15 for the 1st prize, and 40/40 of the 2nd prize had already been used. This has happened all four weeks. This was odd, but I used my tickets. It took me 17 minutes to use all 135 tickets (done it nearly every day) and had missed out on the 1st and 2nd prize entries for previous weeks.

Do you know what I got with 135 tickets?
    106 Instant Prize Gift Boxes
    22 Festival Cotton Candy
    2 - 300k gold boxes
and the remainder as AP potions.

Now that to me is interesting. 135 tickets that took 17 minutes to get (might not be the fastest on the server but pretty effecient)
So for not a lot of rewards that took 17 minutes, and yet the 1st and 2nd rewards were gone in 2 minutes. Yeah I call hacks.

Does this mean that some people are being allowed onto the server early and thus rewarded by having exclusive access, thereby denying the regular player base? I've noticed that some people who win in the twitch previews seem to win again and again. So what gives Nexon? I'm not handing out torches and pitchforks yet, but this seriously needs to be investigated.

It would be different if I had gotten say 30, 30k gold boxes, or something higher quality with the 135 tickets. But for me to save nearly a perfect set of tickets and get garbage while someone else is that 'lucky' to win em all in 2 minutes? Well I'm pretty sure if I talked to a Statstician they'd ask to see the numbers cause someone was cheating.

How can someone have won all the 1st and 2nd prizes within 2 minutes of the server coming online when I get robbed. Now I'll be the first to admit that I'm not that lucky. Quite terrible actually, but for them to be all 'gone' within 2 minutes of the server maintenance being ended? That is just not cool.

If this were the stock market I would accuse someone of inside trading. If it were international trade I would accuse of collusion. If it were a banking aspect I would accuse of favoritism and manipulation of fair banking practices. This is a game, and I realize that. But cheating is cheating. You can justify it however you want to justify it.

I am asking Nexon for a formal investigation of this aspect of the festival, possibly drop rates in general. It would seem that someone is 'manipulating' the drops. I do not know if this is someone hacking or assisted by a nexon employee, but in the interest of fairness, it needs to be addressed and the information needs to be made public.

Otherwise, how can the player base trust that any event, any gacha, that any loot obtained in game is not being purposely manipulated by hackers, or those close to developers? I will not accuse anyone at this point. I want answers, and I think others would as well. Please be transparent and disclose the information. Thank you.

Did you know that when using your tickets, you can click "Draw Now" and it will instantly finish your draw's. You can go through all your tickets pretty fast by spam clicking that one button as it interchanges from "Submit Entry" to "Draw Now". Hence probably how the first few prizes were gained. Most ppl save their tickets and wait till the last week to spam it all.

People have auto-clickers (which can be set up on a gaming mouse so that's not anything that breaks TOS). So that + the instant draw + all the alts people use = prizes getting yeeted.

I don't know how Nexon could prevent alt-accounts from participating in the Anniversary events, but like just removing the "only X amount of ppl can get wings/top prizes" should really be something they consider in the future. The drop rate is so absurdly low that they might as well not limit it to 40 ppl on the server anyways. Just let everyone get a chance at winning everything. Gacha prizes are lame in the first place, if you're gonna do them quit putting limits on them.

It would seem they do want to limit the amount of items that make it on to the server. If they remove the limits and just let chance limit supply they might decide to reduce the number of tickets one can get.
