I would like to suggest the community move shops back to Belvast. Shop licenses can hold up to 30 mil for adv uses or 20 mil for non adv as compared to Dunbartons 10 mil and 20 mil limits.

Living in Canada and therefore more sympathetic to Socialism than most Americans are, I nonetheless can see where the invisible hand can be of use. I remember that on Alexina, before the first merge, there was a thriving marketplace in Belfast. It came about strictly because of the market advantages that it brought. At that time, on Alexina, Belfast was the "up-scale market" and Dunbarton was the "regular market". If there are market advantages, in an Auction House era Mabinogi, then the merchants will come. Who knows, maybe your reminder here will kick things off.

As I recall, Tir is useful in that it's permit is dirt cheap, but making gold is easier today than it was when the game began, making Tir's permit price moot.

Not if you're bulk selling or doing a clearance sale.

Problem with this is everyone wants to sell for 50 mill + now. So most things are just put on the Auction House, and cheap impulse buying happens in Dunby.

Perk of Belvast was you could add up to 20 mill in your shop of sales instead of Dunby's 5 mill, that was back when 20 mill was a lot. Now 20 mill is nothing. I don't think Belvy will be popular again.

Seems I forgot not everyone ended up with 160 pets and 40 chars full of hoarded junk uh I mean treasures to sell. Auction house limit of 17 items just is so limited.>.< That extra 10 mil on Belvast license is preferred over Dumbarton's lagfest and limited spots. (at least for me it is)

I agree, I wish they would round it off to at least 20 for ocd purposes but it must have something to do with auction house slash server stability or something. Btw your homestead housing lease allows you to bump your auction house listings to 18 when active and when you have VIP your housing lease costs you nothing.

It all because of the AH. How many folks can bulk sell high end items; not many. Belfast became the high-end market on Alexina before the first merge and the AH out of necessity. Making Belfast Great Again would require killing the AH.
