The final had 16-3 and it can be found here.
This was the first final on Erinn: the first time that ALL jousters, from all the original servers could vie for the championship against each other. Since, Alexina had constant finals for the entire history of jousting in the game, meaning it's jousting community was the most experienced, they were favoured. Nao's community though had almost three years, since the first merge, to prepare and to make a good showing of themselves and, who knows, maybe even win; they should have a chance.
Before things even started, Nao's best jouster got d/c'ed, which cancelled their tournament registration. When they could log back in, they didn't have an additional ticket and could only watch on. Before the tournament Nao's best hope was out.
The first round consisted of seven matches, only one of which was Naowegian versus Naowegian, guaranteeing that, at the very least, one Naowegian would make it through to the next round. Going into the second round, only one Naowegian was left; they ranked number four on Nao. At this point things looked bad for Nao. The Naowegians looking on though had one person to cheer for, to concentrate their hopes into, and cheer they did! This last Naowegian would not go down. They made it all the way to the final and won! An ex-Naowegian, against the odds in a David-and-Goliath story won the very first jousting final of an, after fourteen years apart, combined community of the folks whom poke.
What an awesome drama and what a perfect ending!

What a great turn out! It was a five-round tournament. The last time one of those happened was on Alexina in 2013. The two communities seem to be integrating well and we saw a lot of new and old faces this time.
Crimsy is jousting curious; you know you are!
They do need to update it.
All the mini-games need updating I think.

A couple folks had trouble logging in on time, so we just missed having enough people for a five-rounder; oh well.

A great turn out and folks from Nao are catching up, making the competition tighter.

A Naowegian won and became the first person to win a second time on Erinn!

A storm hit my city on Saturday, May 21, and knocked out power & Internet. My Internet was not restored until Thursday, May 26; so, I missed attending the finals. Thanks to Akryan for recognizing the situation and stepping up to record the finals, in my absence. Akryan gave me permission to make videos from their raw data video, which can be found here.

For the first time, Alexina is shut out of the championship match as two Naowegians face each other.

The creation of Erinn has created a second "Golden Age" of jousting in Mabinogi, with large turn-outs and both communities integrating well. The final two rounds of the tournament featured equalled representation from both the constituent server's jousting communities.

One of the semi-final matches and the final championship match glitched creating auto-resolves, which kinda spoiled it for those directly effected. These things happen; thank goodness they are rare. Nonetheless there were some well fought matches.

Erinn had its' first "spoiled" tournament. A spoiled tournament happens when there is only one PvP match and all the NPC's, in the round, win. Then there is no one to advance to a further round to face the winner of the PvP match. In this case, the winner of the PvP match wins first place and everyone else that made it to the round ties for second place.

The mid-year jousting ladder/rankings can be found here.
A great turn-out and some great matches. As of the end of June, number one on the Erinnite jousting ladder is our own Kenkosamaformerlyofmarivianao followed closely by everyone's favorite forum troll Top.
To get on the jousting ladder you have to have made it to the final round of the tournament. Your rankings are based on how well you did with the overwhelming majority of your score coming from just having made it. The Alexina vs Nao breakdown is as follows: a total of 15 characters are presently on the ladder with 9 ex-Alexinans and 6 ex-Naowegians. The total number of lances awarded is 23 with 13 to ex-Alexinans and 10 to ex-Naowegians.

The jouster that came first in the Naowegian jousting ladder obtains first place on Erinn, in this tournament; let's see how long they can keep it.

Great turn out, great tournament as ex-Naowegian players continue to hold their own against the ex-Alexinan players. Erinnite jousting has definitely entered, at least, a silver age and is comparing well to Alexina's golden age of several years ago.

Some good matches and we had Erinn's first person to win twice in eight days.

A glitch gave 1/3 of the first round folks a bye to the second round. An all Alexinan semi-final, the last time that happened was April.
