With this Renovation Season 5 update Paladin is set to become relevant again after over a DECADE of it not being relevant. KR a LONG time ago allowed their players a one time thing where they could be allowed to switch back from Dark Knight to Paladin. I think we should be given that opportunity to because of this update.

Sorry but I think this is very important in light of this upcoming update. @Arciellia @Elebon

Thank you for your time and consideration.

- a Dark Knight hoping to see the light

There are two major changes I think Gen 2 Transformations still need. First have some sort of way to switch between Paladin and Dark Knight but make it take cost something. So like maybe make a rule that you can only get a quest to return to Paladin once a week where you run a short version of Maiz dungeon and defeat your Dark Knight self to change back and it could also cost like a 100 AP like when switching between Arcana Talents. You could go back to Dark Knight again anytime by just talking to Dougal using the Black Wizard keyword for the special Albey Dungeon pass if you want to become evil again. Second is add a Manage icon by the Transformation skill much like Dance of Death has and allow players to choose any of their previous Transformation appearances. The real problem with Dark Knight is the Infra Black armor looks horrible. Luckily all the Gen 2 Transformations will get their looks improved when we get the Unreal 5 Update. Although it would be cool if elves and giants could get their own Dark Knight Transformations as well.

I would be fine with switching having an attached cost of some kind.

Like a sidequest that ends with a boss fight against your own Dark Knight self?

Sure whatever you want, as long as I can go back to being a paladin.

I have logged in after years of not being on Mabi again. Is it worth finishing the last quest in the Dark Knight questline to get Dark Knight if Paladin's have a reason to be relevant again? Should I try the new questline without finishing the Dark Knight?

KR never had the redemption event, as far as I know it was only Japan.

And the reason they had it was because the JP translation incorrectly stated that you could go back to paladin. So people were looking at what the NPCs were saying and thought "I'll try it out and go back if I don't like it, like it says I can"

THAT is why JP had that event, because the NPCs misslead the players with faulty text.

I am against having a redemption event. The idea of a choice like this in an MMO, a permanent sidegrade to your character's abilities is interesting and rarely done. Having a redemption event throws all of that buildup away.

Just stay paladin, with the recent Renovation 5 update Sword of Order actually slaps now.

I don't care. It is still possible and should be considered for all regions.

RA-2 DK always looked better to me, R1 just had the better stats (at least at the time) so it was kind of worth it to rank up from R2. Having the option to revert back to a previous appearance would be a major plus imo. Or at the very least, give Infra Knight a set of devil wings to match the Champion's angel wings.
