    We have a new font in the game, it doesn't look very different but you should notice that all of your windows like the chatlog and skill window open faster etc.. Also you will be less laggy in crowds, it makes a huge difference for people with multiple sources of lag, such as EU players like myself. You can see the difference better if you look at the font in your character window, you will see that it looks a little different. Now the client doesn't have to work so hard to render the font. :D

    It actually feels nice to not have to wait 5 seconds for the chat log window to pop up due to all the font rendering.

    I really doubt they changed the font if everything looks the exact same, including that messed up \ symbol. The font still vectors, so I don't think the lag reduction is coming from a font change.
    Unless my launcher didn't download the text files again.

    Seems to me that the border around the text was reduced-- enough to keep text visible, but not so thick that it gets all screwy.
