Cutthroat or Stinger?

Which one do you prefer?

Cutthroat has the clear advantage in max damage but Stinger has a high amount of crit and looks much much cooler (in my opinion haha). Of course the Celtic Howling wins hands down for both stats and appearance but with how tricky it is to get, let's exclude it for now...

    4. I don't like Chain Slash :(

    Between the two, 90% will say Cutthroat because max damage is the One True Stat.

    Balance matters in this point - I have both regardless.

    I give it to the cutthroat.

    Specifically stat-wise, the only thing the stinger has going for it is a higher crit rate (Hilarious), and a smaller min-max spread. The final min~max spread on my chainblades is already over 400 points. So it doesn't seem like much of an issue to take the one with the larger spread.

    I also prefer the cutthroat appearance, aside from the part where the arms look too small to fit in the gauntlets.

    I think the Stinger one looks cooler, so I'll take that.

    Cutthroat is heavily dominating the polls as of right now haha.

    I sorta made this thread because I've been crafting chain blades to sell and it surprised me how popular the Stingers were considering the obvious stat difference. When the house got full, I received 3 different notes asking to empty the house so they could buy a Stinger but none for Cutthroat.

    That moment when your un-upgraded cardinal does more crit dmg than a step 5 borealis hammers -_-
    All the chainblades are powerful, so any is suitable tbh.

    I'm getting 24k impale crits with a clean cutthroat. Wonder what they'd be if it was fully decked out celtic.

    Ikr, same here. 34k with clean cardinals- yet my borealis hammers can only manage 20k with red ups and enchants - ~ -;
    The talents itself is so strong that any weapon under its name can easily out-damage existing talent builds for every race.

    I prefer the stinger in terms of appearance, but I'm using the cutthroat because it's better stat wise.

    On a side note, where do these enchants come from?

    Don't get me wrong, it is very nice but it's also lacking blacksmith bonus which means it's not really that much of an improvement over a smithed cutthroat.
