I often see guilds fail due to a guild leader being inactive. I propose a rework on the guild system.
1) Allow Guild officers to recruit people
2) The ability to kick inactive Guild leaders
3)Allow +1 officer per Guild tier

If the second option is chosen, of course it seems easily abused, but there would requirements for said action.
Requirements:
#1 Guild leader must be inactive for a certain time
* For example there would be an "inactivity counter" that activates when the guild leader becomes for example, "has not logged in for more than 15 weeks"
** when said timer reaches a certain point the leader can be kicked by online members
***There must be at least 2 or more people including the guild officer online, unless said guild officer is also inactive, then any two or more members can kick inactive leader
**** Anyone can initiate the vote
#2 Guild must have at least 1 more member than the bare minimum amount of players in said guild * doesn't matter if they are active or not*

When The inactive leader is kicked, Leadership is transferred to the current guild officer, however if said officer hasn't been on for X amount of days, then leadership goes to the most active member (The member who has been on the most consecutive days in the guild)
*The game uses a counter similar to the inactivity counter that counts how many days you log in and stay log in for the day.
** Said counter resets every real time month to keep consecutive days on don't accumulate

I hope a Developer or someone reads this and implements this so guilds don't go inactive.

The guild hall could also use something new, modern, and innovative to make being part of a guild actually mean something. If we had the cooking revamp from suggestions, maybe a door to an interactable garden could be bought with Guild Points and Gold for growing a large crop of plants that a Guild Leader or Officer can choose how much and who to mail it to. Maybe this could be the free player alternative to VIP field farming in Tail. Each member would get daily quests to care for the crops, and the Guild Greenhouse can eventually be expanded into a full on farmland. Players would get more daily quests to tend to the animals, the animals would grow, and when they reach the 'Adult' stage, Leader or Officer can sell them to gain Gold in the guild funds. With the VIP and Homestead Housing revamp, the Guild Hall would be an interior of it's own, and the Officer or Leader can spend guild funds to completely decorate it with various interactable furniture, decorations, wallpaper, and flooring. Perhaps we can even have a jukebox where players can spend gold that goes into the guild funds to queue various soundtracks from within Mabinogi. Guild chefs can now plan out a special event that lasts up to two hours once per week, which runs much like the royal banquet. Except, players would be presented the dishes placed in the "Banquet Preparation" menu and will gain extra experience for each dish eaten. The guild leader would have to remove gold from the guild funds to pay a "Banquet Manager" NPC (in a new room of the guild hall, also requires guild points and guild funds to build and place) before this can happen.

Eh, the only issue I see with this is that the guild name belongs to the person who was the head of it unless the guild just expires. Because the person who created it put real money into its creation via Premium or VIP service, there might be a legality issue behind not allowing it to be transferred to someone else in the guild. As long as the guild leader is paying for their service, leading to the guild to staying active (by status, and not referring to activity), I don't think there's really anyway for you to boot them or to take over the guild.

@Leinei Yeah, sending a guild leadership to someone without VIP might not be very fair either. If they can't afford it to transfer leadership back or to someone else, then it causes so many problems. We might just have to stick to having the Officer with recruitment capability and ability to add their service time to the service time of the guild. Example: Examplebot9000 is a leader of ExampleNation and has been inactive for 9 days with 3 days of VIP service left, Examplebot200 is an officer of ExampleNation with 30 days of VIP Service. The guild of ExampleNation currently has 3 days to remain an active guild, but Examplebot200 selects 'Add VIP Service Certificate' to extend the active guild time to 33 days. VIP Service Certificate would come with the newly revamped VIP Service, and can be used to either extend the time of your VIP service when right clicked to use, or can be used to extend the remaining 'Service Hours' listed in the guild menu. Regular members can contribute to the service hours in a guild by donating the VIP Service Certificate if they wish to, but it wouldn't be recommended if you can't run for the officer position and are unsure of how active your guild is.

I would personally like the idea of being able to have a 'guild's personal hall', being made like a separate interior Hall that the guild could customize and decorate.
