I heard that weapons that can be ego'd are those that can be erg upgraded. Sadly a guard cylinder isn't even considered a weapon and it also cannot be erg upgraded. That idea would be neat.
If we do get a winter master plan event, this will be the first one since I came back from a 3-4 year haitus. Will be interesting to find out why so many people talk about it.
