About Me
I'm weird and constantly second guessing myself.
  • New Talent: Enchanter

The only benefit I could see for an Enchanter talent is if the talent itself offered an Enchant/Enchant Burn Success Rate bonus for ranking the talent. Only caveat is then we'd have another talent with only two skills (like the Mercantile talent).

Still though, a talent which improves Enchant/Enchant Burn success rates would be something any serious enchanter would love to have.

  • Yo! Convince me plox!?

I wonder if people are thinking the Morningstar works like a chainblade and a staff? If it really does, then that might explain the price. If it doesn't, then maybe the people who have one are taking advantage of people thinking it does. :( I would admit, having a staff/chain blade hybrid would be totally cool and convenient.

It's primarily from Rem's Morningstar in the Defeating The Ulgarms RP mission where you play as her having the ability to cast intermediate magic (specifically Ice Spear) in the version of the mission where you receive Magic skills instead of Chain Blade skills. So people wind up thinking that Rem's Morningstar can be used to cast intermediate magic (like how (Merlin's) Shyllien Mana Knuckles can be used for both Martial Arts and Magic skills) when in reality it's just a Cutthroat Chain Blade reskin.

(Just like how Reinhard's sword is just a Glory Sword reskin, with the only difference being that it can receive Erg enhancements. Unless the wiki's wrong, then there's no difference and the wiki's been lying to be about how no other Two-Handed Swords can actually receive Erg enhancements outside of maybe three or so different options.)

  • Which skills should I use my training seals on?

Divine Link is pretty simple to rank; just spend some time dungeon running with a linked pet out. Karu Ruins would be a good choice; get kills for Divine Link and roll for books in the process. So Hydra would be the better choice IMO, if you choose to use your seals on that.

  • Defeating the Ulgarms...

    A few tips for those still having trouble with this portion of the event;

    - Pay attention to wolf tactics. Ulgarms walking around in a circle likely have Defense loaded, while Ulgarms standing still and not attacking likely have Counterattack loaded.
    - Stick to normal attacks.
    - Utilize the Chain Blade's faster attack speed by prioritizing killing Ulgarms that are close to you/Subaru.
    - Remember that you have Defense and Counterattack regardless of if you get Chain Blade skills or Magic skills.
    - Subaru can take a few hits so if you can hold the Ulgarms off for long enough letting Subaru get mauled for a few seconds at the end of a run is fine.
    - Ulgarms with Defense or Counterattack loaded are Ulgarms who are not attacking. Worry about these Ulgarms last.

I find it ironic that this portion of the event is best dealt with by utilizing old school/pre-Genesis combat tactics.

  • Defeating the Ulgarms...

So far with running this mission it seems like it's better to just use your normal attacks and use Chain Crush/Ice Spear for crowd control if need be.
