They're cute but are we ever going to be able to buy new pets directly ever again?
They never release outfit bags anymore, every new outfit is always in a gacha now. So I'm not surprised they're doing this with pets now too. I don't think they'll ever have a purchase that isn't gambling ever again.
It's really dumb imo. I could buy a Tripple A game for the cost of the guaranteed corgi on Mabi.
I vote nay. This game is rated teen, it's not for children. If you're under 13 and playing Mabinogi, you lied at account creation and you're breaking the terms of service by being here. A teen should know what they're doing when it comes to spending money, and if they don't then their parents horribly neglected teaching them any life skills, and that's not a company's fault.
The fashionogis and pay-2-win elite players are the reason this game is able to stay running. I never buy gachapons myself, but I'm grateful for the people that do get gach because they're paying for the servers and keeping a game that I love alive.
I originally didn't get excited about this crossover, but I was curious about the anime and checked it out, and I think it's really cute. I don't really care for dressing my pixels up like a furry, but the pets, mini-gems, chairs, and bags are nice imo. And the horribly animated gesture cards make me chuckle.
This anime's animation style is so bad that it's good imo
Also since a lot of people seem to not care about this crossover, the gacha items that caught my attention are fairly cheap on the auction house. It's nice to finally be able to afford stuff I like, 'cuz I don't like spending over 20 mill for anything.
To me the main selling points were:
1. it seats 7 ppl so i can truck around an almost full party
2. it's cute and reminds me of the cat bus from Totoro
the combat buff was just icing on the cake for me, i'm happy with my kitty bus
i also am just enjoying the anime so having some cute things from it in-game is nice
