  • Maxed turkey size pets [old event]

I think it only works on pets that cannot be mounted. I tried feeding my Kokopo and Tuan and nothing happened but my smaller pets grew

Doesn't seem to work on pets that don't age up/come at a preset size. :/

IANAL, but the laws being passed about gambling, there's going to be a loophole somewhere or a slight change so it's the same thing just a different flavour.

The UK Gambling Commission already determined loot boxes don't meet the criteria to be considered gambling because "the prizes unlocked in loot boxes are usable only in the games in which they're won, and can't be cashed-out". So, they're probably pretty much washing their hands of it unless loot boxes cross a specific fine line.

And the ESRB already weighed in on it with more or less the same mindset:
"While there's an element of chance in these mechanics, the player is always guaranteed to receive in-game content (even if the player unfortunately receives something they don't want). We think of it as a similar principle to collectible card games: Sometimes you'll open a pack and get a brand new holographic card you've had your eye on for a while. But other times you'll end up with a pack of cards you already have."

EDIT: Forgot the bit where some Hawaii lawmaker wanted to do something about loot boxes, but it was just about restricting the sale of loot boxes to people under 21, not about banning their sale all together.

I don't really understand how you all don't see it as whining on a forum, because you all come here saying the exact same thing every single time anything is released in a gacha and it's obviously not working because they haven't even so much as extended the time between gacha releases. Try complaining directly to KR Nexon, maybe?

Or you know, quit 'til they give you what you want or move on with your life. There are better alternatives and the fact that you're still playing is still supporting the company whether you spend money or not, because you spend in-game money on stuff other people spend real money to get, which just encourages them to spend more money, even if you're not.

    So, yeah.

  • Let's have a Formal Discussion on Collab events~!?

Pretty sure all the anime collab events come from JP, not KR, 'cause you know... anime. Like, pretty sure KR got the FMA collab waaaay after JP. Japan is gachapon's homeland and it caught on pretty big in Korea last I heard, so unlike us, it seems they actually want gacha. Played any other JP based games? Gacha. Gacha everywhere.

So far as I know, too, NA probably gets the least amount of freedom with their content. Either that or it's the laziest, but considering the GMs/CMs can't really ever tell us anything about when we're getting anything, I think it's safe to assume it doesn't have devs to create content for the game like the Asian branches do and NA has very little say in content decision making. Nexon NA is basically just a distributor.

AND, though I don't agree with most all of this collab's content being locked behind gacha, considering the anime made it seem like the characters were really into gacha, it kinda makes sense. Definitely would've preferred outfit bags for base outfits with the respective titles like the SAO event, but I can see the logic behind the way this one's content was handled. :/ As for lack of events, the anime is like 11 episodes long and the collab with Mabi started in JP between episodes 1 and 2, so suffice to say it was extremely rushed, period. The one event we did get is pretty much the only noteworthy in-game thing the characters have done up to this point besides sit around, talk, and gacha (sounds familiar...) The scratch card "event" JP got was just more gacha in disguise anyway.

tl;dr Anime collabs are probably gonna suck because they're all from JP and they love gacha.
