Quitting Mabinogi for... I don't know how long. I am just tired of logging in to do pretty much nothing. Between unfair late-game content and the rampant reforge elitists, I have little desire to play. Farewell laggy hamster servers, I probably will not miss you.
If the devs make the collection aspect of Doki Doki more accessible and not be like: "there is enough resources around here for two people to complete a quest (12 trees x 5 fruit == 30 for quest x 2)" nor "go fishing for hours and hours for some unique fish while having over 40 other pieces of garbage padding in the fishing list", I'll be [okay] with the event coming back.
Edit: here is an idea: give everybody one or two Silvervine Fruit plants to put in our homesteads. We got those dye wells and Valentine potted plant, so why not one of these hard-to-get plants that [everyone] is expected to collect for a [daily] quest?
I trained Crash Shot and Support Shot pre-Genesis. Crash shot by spamming it in rafting and Support Shot by using it on stuck Zombies in Their Method. It should still work today, it's just that today we have those annoying cooldowns to slow things down twofold.
For Urgent shot, I have [Use Skill after Targeting] on, get far away but within range of an anything, purposely miss, and hit Urgent Shot. I'm not sure, but I think Barrier Spikes will work.
I think of extra boxes as buffers on bad days when you get chucked to the beginning of the board repeatedly. I'm sitting on zero boxes today so not getting a box at all is making me sweat.
A little late but to level my erg weapon (a cutthroat chain blade) to level 5, I used:
5 Cardinal Chain Blade (5 x 10,000 g = 50,000g)
9 Smithed Daggers (~27 iron ingots, 9 common leathers, 18 thick thread balls)
For level 1, used one Cardinal Chain and it is level one with no additional fodder (no exp overflow into the next level)
For level 2-4, used one Cardinal Chain and two daggers
For level 5, used one Cardinal Chain and three daggers
Edit: I was wondering why I still have reforge tools in my bag and I realize I never used them. Stupid me. But using reforging tools will increase exp, so you could probably get away with using 4 reforged daggers to reach level 5.
