About Me
The pinnacle of awesome, now in refreshing green flavors and varieties! Buy some before I croak you!
Ever since the release of the Chain Blade instant prize events, people have been making hundreds of alternate accounts to absorb prizes from events. Prizes include all of the 1st and 2nd place Festia instant prize rewards from both the Coin and Gold draws such as wings, gold prizes, and other good items. Other events include hot-days with trade enabled items that ensure maximized rewards such as enchant potions, rebirth potions, forgetful potions, among other premium items.
These players are amassing hundreds alternate accounts just for these events, but nothing is done about them at all. These events are becoming a hand-out to the players who are always cheating to get to the top, and they profit off of every bit of it.
In the past, with the Hamlet delegation event, these players were dealt with, and banned for abusing these events along with all of their alternate accounts, but this time they're getting off free without any form of sanction.
The biggest problem is that devcat or nexon doesn't even address or acknowledge their existence at all. In the span of the last two and a half years they've been around, they have never mentioned them in the slightest despite being really suspicious.
I know how they handle player reports is internal only, but these are so obviously bots. They move autonomously, I see them doing npc ptj's for bag money prior to setting up shop in belvast. There are also so many of them, so owning multiple pc's is out of the question as they obviously abuse 3rd party multiclient software. The last thing is their funding, they sell only cash shop items. I suspect credit fraud is at the core of this issue, because if someone went out of their way to spend Literally thousands of dollars on reforges each year, they wouldn't do it for 250k a pop.
They're basically getting free money and charging low prices off someone else's hard earned cash.
So, essentially it's like the Vancouver studio all over again, because we (some of us older players) know how well that turned out.
/90'ish Game development Jobs lost
/No more North American development of Nexon games
/No merchandising; AKA profits lost because nexon pulled a Yoshikage Kira, and chopped their left hand off.
/Nexon North America has been basically a call-center for the last 8 years.
