If you have a functional CBT, canning the game a few months after is not "profit first." This entire project being canned after it was this close to being live is really really usual.

With how several studios have been getting caught up in scandals involving unethical developer crunch, that entire sector needs to be unionized anyway. I do not believe moderators have the answer, as they are volunteers, not staff. Only the folks in the office in El Segundo... or even the office in Tokyo... or... you get the point.
