@Kaga I thought everyone pretty much knew that we would need to have the capability to switch between races if every race can marry each other at some point. But yeah, other than the cosmetics of elves, elf speed bonus is only good for new players looking to learn from veteran players. Heck, we even have a persona that grants 100% speed bonus for a short burst of time, so why do elves really need to keep it? Archery doesn't really require the player to be fast nowadays, what with Lullaby and all the Nimbus pets keeping enemies pinned down all the time. It would be nice to see some mounted combat with humans as well, even if it is just for lances and two handed swords. I'm not quite sure what sort of pet and combat abilities would mix well for Giants, but like you said mounted combat just doesn't get used much. It's pretty much leaving yourself wide open to an instant kill with no defense, and it's very bad if you miss 75% of your Archery targets, so I've never seen it actually used in dungeons as a legit strategy. At the most, it was used when I was with other veteran players who just wanted to quickly kill stuff for the fun of it. We might need to add something in like an RP as the Guardian of Longa Ruins with a revamp of new abilities to mounted pets and new dungeons only able to be completed with mounting a pet, before scrapping mounted combat altogether.Yeah I agree.
I think people are failing to see the main point underlying this thread because they are blinded by their own elitism and because they themselves were not influenced by this decision, either by having overseen the expiration line or being capped (Kaga's comment "If you hadn't switched characters so much you wouldn't need the AP" being a prime example of the aforementioned elitism). The problem is that the rebirth potions did say that they will expire when the event is over, so a lot of people spammed them on the last couple days of the event, rebirthed at low levels, etc., assuming that they would be expired at the end of the event as stated. When this did not happen, and people who did not read the description were able to use them during double rainbow, amassing at least twice as much AP if not more (since it is also double XP they would likely have gained somewhere around ~2.5x as much AP) those who used them before double rainbow felt slighted. Sure, there is little that can be done to remedy this, but those of you in this thread saying there is nothing wrong are merely being apologists for Nexon. We should make these issues known so they do not arise again in the future; as someone else pointed out almost every event in the past half year has had something broken, and that, frankly, is unacceptable and unprofessional. This is mostly directed at Kaga, Arjune, Gaea, MissFortune, and BerrySwirl, as you all seem to think ignoring Nexon's shortcomings is the solution, rather than encouraging them to avoid broken situations in the first place.Elitism? Not sure if you play on Mari but I know it's a fact.
Something tells me this thread would be here (as a complaint) if the Rebirth Potions had expired on the 28th. ☺Pretty much.
"Rebirth Potions expired when the event ended, as stated... *rage* *spit* *flames* *fury* ...*double rainbow!!*..."
~ A classic case of being damned when you do and damned when you don't. ☺
"Is this a joke? I don't even like dantolyntan and I can't find anything wrong with his post- he's just trying to boast a little about his accomplishment because it's amazing ? all of you who commented with anything negative to say about it were the ones making drama, kou was just defending her friend bc ruairi is full of -removed- "Sadly your comment might get removed like mine. I basically said the same thing.
We're commenting on the fact that OP didn't need to say that clearing the dungeon is less of an accomplishment for elves. The point of the post seemed to be to express pride and excitement over clearing the dungeon which is understandable and deserving of praise. Mentioning a race specifically, jokingly or not, and saying that it's less of an accomplishment for that race (which in the case of elves arguably isn't any less of an accomplishment, but there have been millions of discussions about elves v humans v giants) leaves OP pretty open to criticism. Criticisms and other opinions do not equal negativity.
