  • Add a "Relist" option for AH Listings + More

    Hi!

I know the auction house is a fairly new concept, but I wanted to suggest that a button for "Relist" can be added. That way, instead of having to "Retrieve" items that we haven't sold taken down and having it placed back in our inventories, we could just simply click a button and relist it exactly how the original listing was placed.

More and more I'm finding myself having to waste so much time with the auction house. I wish the system was more fluid. It would be nice to be able to list multiple items at once (maybe a drag and drop feature) instead of having to place them in one at a time. Especially things like dyes. Copying and pasting price amounts over and over again gets old quick.

Also, any chance we can get more than 12 - 13 max slots for auction listings? I feel so limited.

    Thanks,

  • Why do you play Mabi?

    Supreme_GM wrote: »
    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask a very simple question of everyone and anyone that plays Mabi and what keeps them coming back.

    Why do you play Mabinogi?

I see a lot of people reminiscing in their posts (which is cool), but I will try to keep it short and sweet.

I started playing in Aug/Sept '08, I've put a lot of money into this game, and it's the ONLY game I even consider putting money into now just because it satisfies my gaming needs.

Every other /typical/ MMO requires you to pick a class or race and doesn't allow you to branch out. Not to mention other /typical/ MMOs have a click-spam type combat system or even a "we'll automatically walk you to the next quest" system. Mabinogi is different, it allows you to play the game however you want, and you have to consider each attack. It's so in depth. I'm always going to the wiki to look at exact figures or determine what I'll need when crafting or creating things. Even after all these years, I don't have everything memorized because there's just so much to know and learn.

There's a lot of content I would love to see in the future, but no matter what I always come back to mabi because I know there's a dungeon, mission, or event waiting for me to take part in.

  • unwritten rules and strategies for others to know

Here's some tips and strategies that I thought of! Hope they come in handy C:

    1. Carpentry Tip: So.. you know Ascon? The guy at the lighthouse in Port Cobh... He offers a part time job starting @ 4pm game time. Tip is-- set up 4 or 5 of your alt characters (on the same acct as your main character) in front of Ascon. When it hits about 5pm game time hop on one of these alts, get the part time job quest, but instead of doing the quest, just throw the wood Ascon gives you in one of your bank tabs, to transfer to the character you are ranking carpentry on. Rinse and repeat for each alt. You have until 11pm gametime to get as many alts in as possible. You can use this wood on the carpentry table to help rank it. I found it useful for the finest wood requirements.

Another quick tip.. some people forget/may not know Emain Macha has carpentry benches next to the puppeteer, so if it's not raining in Dugald Aisle you can always pop over to Emain and see if it's raining there fo9r when you need to sign bows.

    2. Commerce Mastery: Small tip, You can turn each item from your commerce trade in one at a time. This comes in handy if you are trying to rank it quickly. The first time I ranked commerce mastery I didn't realize I could do this, and I was turning in each commerce load all at once and not getting as much EXP as I could have been :P.

    3. Herbalism: I think most people are aware of this, but in Ant Hell/Solea you can use an L-rod or Demigod to uncover all sorts of herbs. It's especially useful to go there for poison, antidote, and mandrake herbs.

    4. Potion Making: Save all your wound pots, poison pots, and antidote pots. Find a r1 fragmenter and get them to fragment your potions back into herbs. It saves alot of time and effort.

    5. Refining: Similar to potion making save all your ingots. Find a r1 fragmenter and get them to fragment your ingots back into ores.

    6. Weaving: Similar to the Carpentry tip, you can use Walter in Dunbarton to get cheap leather, common leathers, and thin/thick threads for braids. You can use your alts to transfer these mats to the character you are ranking weaving on. Also! make sure you save all your silks. When it comes time you can have a r1 fragmenter frag your silks to get back the thin threads.

    Extra Random Tips:

    1. Save your 8 - 10 cm emeralds for Voight. Drag and drop them and you'll have a shot at getting Gargoyle Statues. C:

    2. Ice spear zombies in TNN then cast a magic shield about 3 - 4 seconds next to the zombies that you just ice speared. Watch your magic shields magically get EXP. (a friend shared this with me a few years ago & I have a youtube video on it if you want to search it up for more of a visual).

    3. Trying to rank Life Drain or Respite? Request a duel from a friend who has hydra ranked. Let them hydra you into deadly. You can then end the duel, train the skills, and rinse and repeat this as necessary (or as much as your friend can stand =D).

  • Anyone else get rolled back?

"pics or it didn't happen" with them.

I don't believe this statement is true. Many times in tickets I have sent, I have not included screenshots. Typically I only submit detailed explanations of any issues I am having, and from responses I have received I was always under the impression that Nexon has access to all logs associated with characters. Also, I believe in the ticket submission form (unless things have changed), it asks for the time of the incident/issue. I'm almost certain that as long as you give a reasonable time line of when you started noticing these issues they can go through your character logs and see if anything has not saved or has any errors. There's always the chance, they will not see anything, but it's better to know imo.

So, I would still submit a ticket. If this is happening to you, chances are it could be happening to more people, maybe some of us just haven't noticed. It's always good to submit tickets, that way if there is a bug/issue it alerts Nexon so they can look into it, not only for you, but this could benefit everyone else.

  • A Little Market Consumer Survey~

Oh this seems fun, I love surveys, so I'll participate.

1.) What do you usually spend your gold stockpile on?
Spend??? I save most of my gold and just use what I need to on repairs or materials/items I need. I like seeing lots of gold checks laying around :L.

2.) How often do you spend ducats?(Or what do you buy/use em on? Fomor equips? Repairs?)
Rarely, I only use ducats to buy Wave Sweeper ideals to try and turn them into high rolls. Occasionally, I might buy a ducat potion bag for extra characters on my account, or certain enchants.

3.) Do you prefer getting things from the cash shop directly or trading in game gold for them?
I buy cash shop items (only if I need them) from shops or other people in game.

4.) Do you have a spending cap when going around PS shopping 4 items?(5m/10m/20m/etc)
I don't have a spending cap no, but I only buy things that I need or splurge on outfits/cosmetic items that I don't have yet. I also try to be frugal and find the best price for whatever I'm after even if that means waiting weeks or even months at a time.

5.) Last but not least...Do you prefer to generate your own gold income (SM/Dungeons/etc) or do you afk and just merch?
I tend to make gold selling items I get from running dungeons mainly. However, a large bulk of my gold comes from events, event items sell fast and for decent prices usually.
