  • why Mabi is no longer fun.

Mabinogi is just as fun as it was before, arguably even more so.
You comlain that it's too easy? Well, start a new character! Go through the generations again on the new character! Sure it isn't as hard as they were when those generations were latest news (remember needing really good people to kill Glas? Remember pala actually being an achievement and something to be proud of? remember ideals? xD).

Of course the older gens will be easier as the game ages, I mean, it would completely SUCK if the older gens were hard as well, you'd get no sense of progression.

As for all the "op items and stuff", the problem here is that you're looking from the perspective of a player that's been playing the game for quite a while now, and even if you do start a new character, changes are you're going to gear the living shait out of it anyway. But take a moment and think about it from a new player's perspective, where they don't know too much about the game, everything is a new experience and they don't have access to OP items.

What you're complaining about here happens in literally EVERY MMO because it's a direct consequence of PLAYING THE GAME.

Here's a good example: Remember G1 and it's gem dungeons from Albey? They were amazing and really well thought and, for it's time, REALLY HARD. You NEEDED a party to do it the first time around. But the thing is, since it was new, there were A LOT OF PEOPLE there.
Now think about it in G20. What if they left it like that, or scaled it with the new balance updates? Who would be able to do it? Remember, there are a few HUNDRED more activities/dungeons where people will go and hardly anybody will do G1 again. Would you like it if you had to wait a few days just to finish those dungeons because they're too hard to do on your own?

  • KR Content updates?

Congratulations, you've uncovered Korea's version our the Racial Balance Update. We got all of this with the exception of the ability to spend AP to rank skills, and the Light of Palala, or whatever it was meant to be called, would grant use more advanced training as we leveled, giving us a legitimate reason to level up to and stay at, 200.

Both of those were cut, and all we got was the uni-race Eweca skill and the race-specific Ladeca skills.

Why the hell did they cut that from NA content?
I don't understand this trend with the NA releases, they seem to just cut stuff from the updates because... reasons? I mean even the VIP benefits are lower, and it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE FROM A BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE!!! Having it the way it is in KR would entice more people to buy the VIP service!

Are the NA marketing/management departments being ran by monkeys?

  • Why do people just reject good ideas? :/

He is right you know.... just read the name in the party.
Your idea is not too good because:
    1. Changing talent have 24 hour real time cool down.
    2. Most people that need shield know where to position themself.
    3. Some people minimize name, talent icon or both.

    1) They serve no actual purpose ingame, so you might as well use them for something
    2) No, they most definitely do not know where to go, most of the times I've got at least another shielder on me... Now that might be that I'm in the wrong, which would be interesting, since they're the ones coming to my position xD
    3) Then in this case "he" was not right because you wouldn't see the name anyway xD

I hate to say this but, everyone is assigned their role before the battle begins. Just do what you are suppose to do and not worry about what others are suppose to do. Because I am pretty sure everyone understands what they are responsible for. Making your idea moot.

    -pat pat-

No, that's just the thing, most people are lost in it, most of the times I'm running I see at least a few d00bers just blading girg before he's even been spiked...

It's not excellent idea at all in my opinion... Talents have nothing to do with Girgashiy raids rofl. Just edit units in raid party, that's all you need to do.

I know... I was making a suggestion on how they CAN be made to help the raid. Of course, this won't help the people that know what they're doing, but it will help people that are just lost there, which is what happens most of the times you run with strangers xD
Building the teams as "shield", "blade", "spike" is a really inefficient way of handling it because people do not have a "team" to regroup to.
Building it on teams is rather inefficient because the team members don't really know the other team member's roles instinctively, especially when running with strangers.
Building it on teams AND using my idea, however, is golden. Since you instinctively know each member's role just by looking at their icon, you quickly identify either your shielder, if you're farther away, or your blades/spikes if you're a shielder and they're away.

Regardless of how you look at it, this idea can objectively ONLY HELP people if everybody would use it.

But then again, I'm trying for a tactical approach when playing with strangers, which is probably a fail from the start, as you can't really coordinate well with them xD
