How about, if you're going to restrict celebration events to 1-2 hours, you do it in the form of a limited 1-hour potion that activates the effect? It can be given to us during day and expire the next if not used. It lets people participate without making it too overpowered to leave active all day for everyone.
I was super excited for this past weekend's events, I stored materials and didn;t touch any exp so I could get my character back on track on this new server. I was excitied to start playing for real again. But then it was announced that it would only be for 1 hour hot time blocks. Both during the times I worked, so I missed them ALL because of the hours I work. I was there before and after, but I couldn;t do anything about the time int he middle.
It said "you're invited!" but then Ferghus showed up to pop my balloon and steal my slice of cake! It really makes me feel like a second class citizen because I'm not around the same hours as "normal" people. I was honestly pretty crushed. Usually these daily events I do them in the morning and at night, so I play on my own time. I know it isn't a typical schedule for Saturday and Sunday, but I know I'm not the only one. A lot of people are active later because they can;t be on during the afternoon.
Just Something I wanted to say as a feedback/suggestion, is all.
