Sylek

The guild issue finally got fixed, but Nexon didn't even bother to post into the thread for it to announce it to the players who came here with the issue. They didn't put anything on the main site either. I'm keeping this situation as an example of poor customer service. Anyway, I'll still be around the forums even though I came here because of the above issue.

I have returned to Erinn once again. Now to see what drives me away this time.
About Me
Sylek Isana - the spirit of a legendary hero that is, for some reason, inhabiting a weapon in Erinn.
  • Old player from 2008 returns

    Welcome back to the wonderful world of Erinn. Or I wish it was... the economy is a mess. Other than that, I've been finding friendly players scattered around and some new features like the AP Training has come in handy.

    You guys remember the bot bombs?

    Good times.

    Didn't those not work on the gold spam bots due to them having to be in combat mode or something to actually work? I think back in Rejuvenogi or whatever it was, when they encouraged players to use them, I just bombed my friends, then they bombed me, and we were all perfectly fine because we answered the questions. Trying to bomb the bot gave some sort of error.
    Let's be fair, there are probably good people capable of handling this power, in all honesty. If one person abuses it, kick them. Not that I support, but it is not an end of the world scenario.

    Finding good people to do this would be an issue, but the solution for abuse is simple: demotion, never considered again. Maybe put a limit on how quickly the player mods can mute others, or how many until they can be reviewed by employees to prevent a player from just becoming god and silence everyone until Nexon fixes it. I think it could work, but obviously it has to be done carefully to try to deter abuse.

  • Squires........

    I gave up on messing with Squires a while ago, but if I ever get back to it, I'll be sure to use that.

  • Dead Mafia and Fiesta?

    @Greta @Siodhan
    As someone who also plays Town of Salem (ToS), Mabinogi's version of Mafia can feel lackluster in comparison, though in all fairness, ToS has focused exclusively on updating and running their version. Obvious flaws in ToS is the afk, gamethrowers, etc. I remember one game in Mabinogi where we had to wait the full 15 minutes because someone decided to go afk. And nobody decided to kill him, so it happened the next day too... Mafia can be a lot of fun in either version.

    @Arjune
    I've honestly been misreading Festia ever since I first saw it, lol. Fiesta kinda makes since to me as a name since it looks like a carnival and party and whatnot.

    @Policroma
    Festia looks to be full of all kinds of past events including Lorraine's Nightmare, Tail Chasers, and the FSN event you mentioned.

    @Raishii
    The fact that Festia uses those tickets to play games is kinda dumb... While it does prevent people from spamming them all day to just get rewards, it also means that "Oh, I played my 3-4 games today, guess I have to go do something else now." Rewards can be nice, but the tickets limit it too much I guess. I barely bother to play around in Festia because it's too limited.

    @Greta
    I kinda hate Alexina's market too. I saw someone selling the Eternal Rest book via their party ad, and they wanted 1.5m for it. Asking some other people around Tail SM, the highest price I saw them put it at was 300k, lowest being 150k. I was willing to pay more than that, but the minimum that guy was willing to go was 1m. People can get really greedy and the market is fluctuating so wildly...
    I heard something about an update that was supposed to be like the Grand Exchange from Runescape, but it got scrapped. That would have helped so much.

    I'm perfectly fine with the fashion craze, because this game has a remarkable amount of customization,even if most of it is acquired from cash shop features like the dressing room and gachas. I like seeing new content released once in a while despite that, of course, but I'm more of a supporter of a reform with bugfixes and better graphics than implementing more bashable and fhable content.
    1. The dressing room is free for all players, just eats some gold.
    2. Let them re-release some old stuff for a while so we can get some more content.
    I'm not a supporter of constantly expanding the end game or giving players even more to make them even more op. We should get more content for all players, even if it's not combat.
