The guild issue finally got fixed, but Nexon didn't even bother to post into the thread for it to announce it to the players who came here with the issue. They didn't put anything on the main site either. I'm keeping this situation as an example of poor customer service.
Anyway, I'll still be around the forums even though I came here because of the above issue.

If there is any reason any powerful players still run Shadow Missions together, it is because they feel lonely or do not have an Elite pass.
Or it culd be to help others...Vet's are nice too u know.
I wouldn't call myself a veteran, but whenever I use an elite pass, I try to have a full party. Gives however many other players a share of the rewards and it might even help you find a rare drop. You're more likely to find good stuff from 6 chests than 1.
About an hour ago, I got a message from the employee who posted here back in April. This was in response to me messaging her requesting some information on the issue. What I got back was that it should be fixed now. After checking the website, I confirmed that it is indeed fixed and I was able to cancel the application for that expired guild.
Before that, I received no other messages and I'm surprised that, even an hour after I got the message, I'm the one here posting that it's fixed, not the employee.
As far as I'm aware, that private message is the only thing signifying that it has been fixed.
I can only attempt to answer question 5 and maybe 6.
The best staves (to my knowledge) are the Celtic Druid and Celtic Guardian. Both get a bonus to magic attack on creation, but the difference is that Druid can get more of a boost, but Guardian can use party heal in addition to the other spells. Since you're asking about damages, I'd recommend the Druid staff between those two.
The difference between the Druid staff and Merlin Knuckles (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) is that the Merlin Knucks will allow you to use fighter skills (good versatility there), but you'll miss out on the boosted magic attack the Druid has to offer. As well as you can find/make materials to create the Druid staff via magic craft. Merlin Knucks will require you to find a player who is selling them if you don't have them already.
If you have good fighter skills and want to be able to switch between fighter and mage without changing weapons, then Knuckles would be good. If you want to focus on mage only, then I'd recommend the Druid staff.

I'd agree with you if it was suddenly possible for you to shield, spike, and blade the girg on your own. I'm primarily a Shield (R1) when I do raid but I could use the others (R5 but with almost no subskills). I'm not for the AP training either. The skills aren't that hard to rank up, they just, like all skills, take some time.
You don't play MMOs to party with people, you don't like to grind at all... why bother? I know the grind sucks, but you're going to find it in a lot of your MMOs and a key feature of an MMO is all kinds of interactions with other people. What makes the grind suck a little less? Friends and parties.
