  • Let's do it! Time for us to declare our «Re-Vamps»

I can't see "Re-Vamp" without picturing Jade from Dragon Quest XI.

    Shadow Bind? Um... What?

Maybe because it doesn't work on a lot of enemies.

    Like Golems.
    Or Adv Heavies.
Or whatever the game doesn't feel like letting you bind.

  • Has anyone been losing money left and right?

You're not changing channels or logging out within 30 seconds of being in combat or 5 minutes of entering a dungeon, are you?
Logout penalties will apply based on your current level and will cause you to lose EXP and on-hand Gold, and can be quite steep if you're level 200 or something.

These penalties will apply on both logging out AND changing channels, but you'll only get the exact notice saying how much EXP/Gold you'll lose when choosing to logout.
When changing channels it'll just say that logout penalties will still apply but won't actually say how high your penalty will be.

Rain makes it cost the node less for each successful gather, so you can gather 8 times instead of 5 before the node is depleted.

Does it effect gathering Golden Mushrooms, Alpaca, Homestead stones, and Bandit Homestead stones?

It doesn't work on Golden Mushrooms or Homestead Stone piles, neither yours or Bandits'.

It doesn't work on things like Metallurgy spots, neither natural ones or homestead versions, or for Hillwen deposits or Shyllien Ecology nodes.
It also doesn't work on artifact gathering spots (like the pillars and such you can hand-gather from in Iria), dye wells, or on wood chopping blocks.

It does work on Alpacas, and other pets/animals you actively gather from (eggs, milk, wool, etc), but not for pets that produce their byproduts via a skill such as Spiders with their cobwebs.
But if you're gathering from pets, it's better to make use of Fantastic Chorus to restore your pets' MP while gathering. (especially since it can be activated using Harvest Song which you should be using anyways)
It works on normal mining spots, sulfur deposits, potato patches, shellfish patches, herb patches, corn, wheat, barley, chopping trees, gathering grapes, and even gathering Silvervine fruits.

Also, it boosts the drop rate of whacking objects for items, such as nails from lampposts, or apples/berries from trees and bushes.

One thing I'm not sure about is if rain boosts how many times you can gather Elementals from an Ice/Lightning/Fire Sprite using an Ice/Lightning/Fire Wand (without a shield equipped). But in that case it's easier to just do this at Ceo Island where you can kill the sprite when it runs out and just gather again from the new one that spawns.

Also, all of this stuff counts for Raincasting as well as plain normal rainy weather. It's just that r1 Raincasting has the same effect as a full-strength Thunderstorm.
Whereas weaker weather and ranks below r1 will have a lesser effect on gathering counts.

Rip, so no doki doki this year. I wanted to do the cute dancing game too.

it would just be better if they gave Nekojima instead which is basically the same island but with different npc characters and a cat dungeon. Nekojima was only given to the Japanese server but it is permanent so players can go back there anytime. if we had Nekojima player that enjoy the island could go there to enjoy the scenery and fish during fishing events. when valentines day is close they could just add the npc characters needed for the Doki Doki event. this way everyone could enjoy the island anytime or choose to avoid it.

It's not about the island it's about folks that do not yet have flight getting flight. But if Nekojima awards flight then go with throttle up!

Actually, even in JP Mabi, Doki Doki Island is a totally separate place from Nekojima.
When the Doki Doki Event rolls around, they don't just put up decorations on Nekojima, Doki Doki Island is still its own map.
Of course this also means, since both maps are separate, there are TWO maps where you can gather Silvervine Fruit for the Event.

At any rate, that'd mean that even were we to get Nekojima, we'd still have to have the Doki Doki Island Event return to bring THAT Island back along with the whole Soulmate/Flight system.
