  • economy overhaul / market checker

I think a tool to compile and check average market prices for specific items would really, really improve the mabi economy and prevent scammers from taking advantage of dumb people like me or inactives who come back after months to price spikes + crashes they're forced to relearn for every single item in their inventory. it'd also solve the bags in bags in bags problem just a little, because we wouldn't need as much storage space if we could just sell our unused items.

the housing board doesn't guarantee a safe price (since it tends to be overpriced if you can even find a listing for the item you wanna sell), and personal shop selections are mostly cyclical, with recent event items being the most sold. the messy economy drives away new players and throws more and more bags at older players as a bandaid to a gaping wound. I doubt I'm the first person to suggest a market overhaul, but a price-checking tool doesn't seem like too much to ask imo. item-collecting events and hot days are amazing. who doesn't love free stuff? but I dread reorganizing my 10 pet inventories, 6 banks, and 5 carried bags in the hopes of getting something popular enough that I can sort of assume the price... yet I hoard, thinking someday mabi will come out with new content that fixes the problem, and I go on breaks imagining when I come back we'll be a step closer, because I'd love to take advantage of the economy if I could.

    anyway, thanks for reading.
