Min-maxing vs Music buffing

Hypothetical situation...

Will U go full Raw Max dmg or Trade it all for a full Music buff effect boost only set?

P.s.~How about for solo play?~
Not really looking 4 sum one to crunch any math

    I honestly prefer to go with the bard buffs over Min-Maxing.
    Usually I don't play alone, unless it is story stuff.
    So I'd rather buff my friends.

    Not really min-maxing in a game which is all about maxing, there aren't really any trade-offs or skill builds.
    That said, the best is probably a mix of both, depending a little on what you're using, but once you have over 1000 max damage before overture:
    Solo on glove, shoe
    Sonata on body (the new thing)
    Chorus on hat
    BO Master Title
    8th Anniversary Fantasista
    max damage everywhere else
    are better options if playing alone or buffing self, but the difference is marginal at best, so I'm voting for pure max damage.
    This can get insanely expensive though.

    With gear sets being a thing now you should ideally have both. However I prefer music buffs myself, it ends up being about the same for solo imo but vastly more useful in a party.
